I went to 7848 S. Olympia. This is the one in Tulsa Hills. Food was good, but service was just okay. There's some servers that don't speak english, they took better care of us than our server did. They made sure we had refills of tortillas. Our server brought some over and I told her we're already on our 3rd round. Really I would have rather had the ones that didn't know english over the ones who did. 10X better servers. There wasn't too many people there when we were there. Too much playing around by the staff in the back. I really don't go to a restaurant to hear staff screaming or yelling. Playing around, teasing each other, stuff teenagers and college kids does when there's nothing to do. There's times and places to do that, like closing time when customers aren't there, but not when customers can walk in the door. Management was non existent. Saw a manager when we were leaving coming out of the office. I wonder how much time he spends in the office unaware of what the staff is actually doing. If the staff was more in control of their behavior than I might have given them a 4 or 5 star. There's a lot of restaurants in the area and I can see why they aren't that busy. Other places had cars in their parking lots. If you want a quiet place where you can have a meal with the family without staff behavior issues, this is not the place. Hopefully one day I will be able to...
Read moreOur hostess was lovely and honest. The food is just horrible very bland no care what so ever in customer satisfaction. Manager was very polite and seemed embarrassed. My guest and I came hoping to have the same delicious experience as we did in OKC. The set was even horrible the queso was bland. I have never been to this location but my partner said the food was terrible 10 years ago!!! Found out they have the same cooks and the main plate the workers are told to push is the so-called chimichunga doughy dry and full of cheese. Basically my partner had to excuse herself from the table and got sick. Then the manager had the nerve to ask he hope we come back, why to finish us off. Highly recommend new cooks immediately. Sad to see a chain company have a bad break in it. Corporate need to do a pop up. We were polite and even said we would still pay for everything. He took off the first order but due to needing to make money we were still charged $19.50. We paid tipped the young lady and bid them good day. Wasn't look for a free meal afterwards we went to McDonald. Look at the photos truly that was all we...
Read moreTed's Café Escondido’s quality of food, excellent service and the nice modern dining environment make it difficult to give the restaurant anything less than five stars. Ted’s does a great job in providing a pleasurable dining experience. I can see why many like it. The restaurant is not one of my favorites, simply because of how their version of Mexican food is seasoned. Tomato sauce, that’s it, too much tomato sauce. I prefer more red chili pepper.
The beef in my wife’s taco salad was tender, flavorful, delicious, and lots of it. I had the Mexican Flag Enchiladas served on a hot plate. One beef with verde sauce, one chicken with queso and one cheese with red sauce. The chicken was braised in tomato sauce, and the cheese enchilada was covered in a tomato based red sauce. Quality food on a hot plate; just not the flavors I prefer. Great beans and rice. The chips and salsas are excellent. The service we had from Luis was flawless.
