Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Tupelo

I LOVE jimmy John’s. Unfortunately, this store is pathetic, unprofessional, poorly managed (if managed at all), and rude. Today was my last shot at ordering here. I’ve had issues in the last several years however the last three orders have been unacceptable. So this is the last straw. If you order delivery, prepare for it to take an hour and a half to two hours to receive your order, that is if you receive it at all. Experience 1/3- I ordered, an hour and 15 minutes later my ring camera shows a man get out of the car, walk halfway to my door, turn around and leave. Obviously I never received my food, even though it said delivered on the app. I called the store. Spoke with manager (supposedly) who told me they used a third party delivery service and they must have stolen it. Do I want to get it another one? Well, no. I don’t have another two hours to wait on lunch. Second - an hour and a half goes by. Order says delivered. Call the store the “manager” said he sent the girl out with my food an hour ago. Ok, well. Where is she? Again, I don’t want to reorder and wait another two hours. Today - order at 12:46 for delivery. App never shows “out for delivery”. At 1:55, I Call the store, “hi, I placed a delivery order can I please get an update?” The person hangs up the phone. Call a second time, the phone picks up but no one is on the line I can only hear background noise. Call a third time. I say the same thing, whomever I spoke to was rude and short while telling me “they should be on their way, you are paying cash so we had to call someone in.” Hangs up on me again. I finally receive my order at 2:15. The food is delicious as always, by the way. However, if you are unable to deliver your orders efficiently, why offer that option. If you don’t have staff to deliver, why offer the option to pay with cash? Our after church lunch experience wasn't what we had hoped. When we arrived, every table was dirty, so we did that awkward stand-next-to-the-table thing hoping an employee would notice. They didn't. We eventually wetted a napkin and wiped down our own table. It wasn't busy, with only one other family in the restaurant, and no tables were wiped down during the hour we were there. The bathrooms were filthy! The young man making our food didn't have his hair secured (he was wearing a ball cap, but his long hair was sticking out in every direction), and his stomach was exposed and touching the prep table as he worked. It was very unappetizing. Our orders were correct, but the sandwiches were bland, and the toppings weren't evenly distributed. The CO2 was out in the drink machine in the dining area, but instead of checking on it when we notified the employees, they tried the machine behind the counter and said it was fine. Flat sodas for us. We expected more for the $30 we spent on 2 combos. I've ordered at the drive-through before, and that was a much more pleasant experience, probably because I didn't see what was going on inside. Still expensive for what I got, but...

Here in Tupelo staying at hotel where I picked up a Jimmy John's menu in the lobby, I am familiar with Jimmy John's and ordered from them Alot in Tampa Florida where I'm from. That said, I thought "Oh Jimmy John's, I Love their subs" and called to place my order, their motto is (we deliver freakishly fast?) Well apparently Not this Jimmy John's... when the guy answered the phone I couldn't understand what he said so I asked " is this Jimmy John's? He said yes, and I began my order. He was rather rude and unfamiliar with the items the line, didn't know what kind of lettuce tbey had didn't know if they had spinach as they were out of sprouts had to put me on hold to ask management, which seemed like forever 😠! So when he finally got back to me only to inform me that they didn't have the listed on the menu to make the sub I wanted, I told him NEVER mind, and went to subway! This is a shame because Jimmy John's makes an awesome sandwich when they have what's on their menu and properly trained employees. I won't be recommending Jimmy John's in Tupelo MS. to anyone wanting a Gourmet Sub, freakishly fast anytime soon. Thanks...
