PYRO'S Fire Fresh Pizza — Restaurant in Tupelo

First time ordering from Pyro's... Never again. Delivery person brought the pizza and told me the restaurant said they were out of vegan cheese. I open the boxes and there was no cheese on them at all. They should have called me to tell me they were out so I could cancel the order. I called Pyro's and they said they didn't have my number to call me. My number was on the receipts though and I made a Pyros online account. They told me to call Door Dash for a refund. I knew that wasn't right because I ordered through Pyros website, not Door Dash. I called Door Dash though and they told me since I ordered through Pyros then I have to ask Pyros for a refund. If I had ordered through Door Dash then Door Dash would refund. So I called Pyros back and asked for a manager. I think it was the same kid I talked to before. They asked if I could come to the restaurant to get the refund. I asked why I have to come down there when I ordered from their website with a Pyros account. So he asked for the order number and said he would issue a refund. I'm surprised I didn't receive any email confirmation of a refund being processed. I will give it a week and if the refund isn't on my credit card I will dispute it though my credit card company. Completely ridiculous and...

This place was a lot of fun and great food. The people were quite friendly. They had mud racing on a big screen. The pizza was the best part, even though the rest was great - the whole experience was amazing!

If you have never been -

It is basically a pizza place bar and grill.

You pick your sauce, cheese, and toppings. They have tons of choices. They add toppers like spicey ranch, etc. The pizza is crunchy thin crust.

The intent is to have a pizza made to your own liking.

You can split a pizza if you want. You just have to agree on the same pizza.

My wife and I each got a pizza, with at least one being a specialty. We each got a soda. They had a coca cola freestyle, so we were able to get our favorite soft drinks from the huge selection.

We paid around $23 to $24.

I adore the vegan options at Pyros Pizza and I give the food 5 stars. However, the call in order system gets 2 stars. Twice have I called in an order and waited because my order was forgotten about. Both times has my wait time been 30 - 45 minutes. Even while constantly checking on it.

During my last visit I called 10 minutes before open, I was told that the pizza would be ready 10 minutes after open. But when I showed up 16 minutes after open, no one had knowledge of my order. When the ticket was found, it was mixed in the stack of walk-in orders, at the bottom of the pile! Their reason was “we had about 30 orders come in after your call in!?”

Is that my concern? No, because both times I called in because I needed my food to go and needed it quickly. Both times, I watched people come in while I waited for my order, get their food delivered to their table and eat, while I’m waiting for a 7 minute pizza to cook. Order of importance is not what I’m asking for but preparing food at the time of order...
