Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Tupelo

We've always loved this place. Good has always been spot on.

Today however, we had trouble finding a clean table. We finally wiped a table down and sat down to eat. The breading on the chicken has definitely changed and is very hard and crusty. When we were through eating we stacked our plates and wiped our table off so the staff could clean the table this time and no one would sit there with our plates stacked up. It was raining outside and we are in our '60s and '70s and watching a grandchild. We stacked everything neatly and walked to our car and all of the sudden a worker came out the door screaming at us at our car and said we needed to come back inside and clean our tray off. We didn't know what they meant because we didn't have a tray. We had two plates. So we loaded everyone in the car and I drove up to the door and got out and went in to see if we had accidentally left something. But instead of being kind, the staff laughed at me in front of all the customers and said yeah you needed to come in here and get your table cleaned off. We only wipe down tables," it's not our job to clean up your dishes". I was totally humiliated and just said are you serious right now? You had me come back in the rain because you refused to pick up plates and walk four steps to the garbage? We left them there to make sure you clean the table off for the next person. We will never be back. I have never been so embarrassed. I have never been followed to my car and yelled at and we don't leave messes in restaurants. If i could give zero stars I would. While we ordered our food, customer service was horrible. Cups tossed at us. As soon as we paid the cashier walked away from the register without offering a receipt. Cashier left the receipt at the computer without handing it to us. While waiting for our food, we realized people who had ordered after us were getting their food before us. No problem, we asked if they had our order and they said they put the name in wrong and apologized while making our food. After, we asked for an extra sauce which we were charged for after waiting 20 minutes for our food. While we were eating our food we were rudely interrupted by a worker asking for our receipt, we explained they didn’t give us one and the worker rudely walked away while we were trying to show the bank statement where we paid. I live in Birmingham, Alabama and was in Tupelo for the Riley Green concert last night. We were pumped to see Tupelo had a Cane’s so that we could experience the TikTok craze! Took about 20 minutes for us to get our food. Seemed a little ridiculous considering it’s a restaurant that only serves chicken fingers, fries and bread BUT I was happy to wait for good food so it was not a huge deal. We drove thru and ordered 4 of the 3 piece meals. My husband handed me the bad and asked me to check that all the food was there. I counted 4 trays of food so we left. We get to our hotel to find that one tray contained only sauce and they shorted us a meal. I tried to call them numerous times but they did not answer. That was very disappointing!
