We went in this evening to take advantage of a promotion that CSpire was running and to her our daughter her first phone for Christmas. After speaking on the phone with a CSpire representative for 20 minutes to get all of the information including what we could trade an old phone in for with a new line we went into the Tupelo CSpire 15 minutes before they closed. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and was in the process of getting us taken care of when Ron Couch the slick talking salesman interrupted to give his expertise. He led by saying that the phone we were trading in was nothing more than a shiny paperweight and was worth nothing as a trade in (not what we were just told on the phone). He then proceeded to try to sell us a new plan that would benefit him not us, and a new phone which was not what we walked in for. He is one of of those salesmen who talks very fast to try to confuse you so that you don’t understand what your buying until it’s too late. I’m in sales myself and know this tactic well. I won’t say avoid this store, but I will say avoid this salesman. He definitely slick talked his way out of a...
Read moreA family member came to me to help with phone upgrade device. So, I went with him to Cspire to talk about the real distinctions between Android and Apple. Part of this would be to allow the customer to hold the phones that cost hundreds of dollars. The associates at this store were hesitant to answer, but ultimately they told me they could neither a) let us hold a new phone, just their personal Samsung, and b) could not even go into the back of the store to check what they had in inventory to sell us—they had to shop online and had no other power to help me, they said to me.
This is all really bad service, especially considering I and my family were paying customers before walking in the door. I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1 mainly because this seems like policy, considering how many staff watched this laughable scene. This is a problem with the leadership—the staff themselves were not helpful, but they were polite.
Caution to customers looking for purchasing advice here: This store has like 14 Samsung models on display, and only 1 Google model. I suspect Cspire corporate has good promotional agreements...
Read moreWhen I say the people that work there don’t know the difference between an IMEI and a device serial number omg! First off I knew it was going to be bad when I walked in it was one employee sitting at the door on the computer so I checked in thinking she would assist NO! I guess the manager told her to do something else and disappeared. Then the manager went talking to the other sales associates tending to the other customers. After that she started walking around not assuring the other customers and I like we’ll be right there. After standing around for 15 minutes I guess she decided to help started telling me I don’t need the device serial number to match with Apple. I said yes I do to make the repair then begin being dismissive still talking to the other associate about another customer situation in the middle of me explaining the difference. I just left she was no help at all. Didn’t catch the name but I remember those half black socks with ballerina shoes and bob hair with glasses. Why do we only have one location in Tupelo with half trained people?...
