Gallettes — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

Was my go to bar while in college and always go back for a drink when visiting ttown. I wasn't a fan of the remodel but realize times change. However, the whole atmosphere was totally off. Just isn't the same place it used to be. The big guy at the door was extremely rude and charged $20 cover. I asked another staff member why the cover was so expensive, and was told it was only $10 that night. I went back to the guy at the door and he insisted that I had another person with me when I walked in, although I am pretty sure I was alone. I asked for his name and he refused to provide it. I asked to speak to the manager and he said that he was the manager. He then gestured for another staff member to come over as if to assist with 'backup", and I decided it might be best to walk away. The music was more like a club than a bar. There was nothing about the place that reminded me of the Gallettes I loved while in college. Oh well. It was great...

The dance floor at Gallettes is also noteworthy. It's the best in Tuscaloosa, and they have a great sound system and lighting to create the perfect ambiance for a night out.

Wine Wednesdays at Gallettes is also a must-attend event. The specials on wine are amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends.

I highly recommend Gallettes bar for their staff, drinks and dance floor. It's the best night out in Tuscaloosa. I will definitely be returning to this bar and highly recommend...

Got denied last night as a 22 year old.... quite a humbling experience if I do say so myself. Apparently my ID “felt different” whatever that means. Showed the bouncer pictures from my 21st birthday party that was over a year ago and he still wouldn’t let me in because i guess those were faked too. Finally found a picture of my vax card with my birthday on it and he let me in but didn’t apologize or anything. Weirdest experience of my life - please train your bouncers better because that’s straight up...
