The name is not a cutsie cake pun, they really have only Bundt cakes. Don't expect a full service bakery, and you won't be disappointed like I was. Overall, I think this is a good place to go if you're nearby and craving a simple cake. The interior is very small, so plan to take your cake to go.They had about maybe 8 or so flavors of cake to choose from. The cakes come in three sizes, the smallest being about twice the size of a cupcake.
I really liked the white chocolate raspberry cake, it felt very balanced with the tangy raspberry mellowing out the sweet frosting. The chocolate chip was pretty one note, which I suppose is perfect for chocoholics. I did not like the carrot cake at all, which was sad because usually it's my favorite. It had a strong flavor of a single spice and was lacking any texture. I think a good carrot cake needs a more complex flavor and definitely some texture variation. I also tried the red velvet cake, and...
Read moreNot a sit down restaurant, just a cute little cake shop to pick up and go with a sweet treat! I highly recommend the lemon cake.
So the shop looks big on the outside, but it's very quaint on the inside. There's a display case up front packed with cakes of all sizes, a list of cake flavors on the wall for you to choose from, and a bunch of little things you can look at around the store before you buy your cake.
The icing is cream cheese (I believe), so it's very sweet with a little bit of tang to it. Not at all like cheap sugar cakes from a grocery store.
There are different sized cakes ranging from larger 'average' cake size, down to hand size cakes about the size of a fist. The hand size cake is more than enough for a treat for yourself, or can be split between two people with smaller appetites.
The cakes are very moist, and kept cold. You can eat them with your hands if you're rushing, they're not...
Read morePicked up a birthday cake for my son. I have bought a cake there before in the past with no issues. The cake is wrapped in plastic wrap because I didn’t see an option to get a cake box or add a box. I asked the girl at the front could I get a box and was the box free or an additional charge. I would have paid for the box. She asked what size I needed but when she went to the back she came back 3 seconds later and said “I can’t give you that.” No explanation or anything. If that’s against policy to give a box I understand but the message could have been delivered better. I didn’t think asking for a box would be an issue after you’ve bought a whole cake. It was bad customer service in my opinion. Won’t be buying future birthdays cakes here. Side note: when I bought a birthday cake in the past that came in plastic wrap I asked for a box and was given one that’s...
