Every single time I come here I get something wrong. I have avoided this specific McDonald’s for that exact reason. On July 18, 2020 I ordered through door dash and didn’t realize that my food was coming from this McDonald’s, if I had them I would have never ordered in the first place. While the food was fine my coffee wasn’t. I ordered a large caramel iced coffee with extra caramel syrup and add caramel drizzle. Instead of getting a caramel iced coffee I got a caramel iced tea. I called and spoke to the manager and she took my name, what was wrong with my order and proceeded to tell me I had two weeks to get it replaced. Today July 29, 2020 I went to get my replacement and when they first tried to hand it to me I asked if it had the extra syrup and added caramel drizzle. The girl just gave an irritated look asked if it was caramel and walked away the she told the other person at the window to pull me up to their second pick up window. When she then came to hand me the coffee she just thrust it out the window saying “here you go” and had the window basically slammed shut before I could even finish saying thank you. That is extremely poor customer service. I have worked in customer service for more than 10 years and I am always astounded at how this store treats their customers. I have also worked at a McDonald’s and this particular store has failed their company in their customer priority ethics time and time again. So whenever anyone asks me which McDonald’s to go to I always say “never the blue lakes McDonald’s, they have poor customer service and something will always go wrong no matter how many times...
Read moreThey tore down the old McDonald's, at Blue Lakes and Heyburn, and built us a brand new one. My grandkids couldn't be happier, because it comes complete with a brand new playground. The problems with exiting and entering McDonald's, they fixed that too.
The brand new dining room has a new modern look, clean restrooms, and of course the new playground complete with iPads for the kids to play with.
We came this morning for breakfast and somewhere warm and clean to play, because it's snowing. McDonald's has the same old tried-and-true menu favorites you've come too love or hate. You can now get breakfast with lunch and dinner items, but of course you can't get lunch or dinner items with breakfast. Go figure. My granddaughter wanted chicken McNuggets.
This McDonald's is staffed with Millennials that actually work and are happy to serve you. 2 big breakfasts, 2 hot cakes with sausage, 2 Egg McMuffins, 3 chocolate milks, and a large coffee for $30. You can't beat that.
The pluses: Consistency of their menu items. Nice new restaurant & playground. Free coffee refills. There are no minuses with today's visit.
So if you haven't been to this McDonald's in a while bring the kids, or the grandkids, and have them check out the new playground. If it's a snowy cold day, it's a great place to let the kids play. You could read a book, check out your phone, or actually have a conversation with real human being.

Read moreI have been to this McDonald's several times and had my order messed up. Because of that, I closely check to see what food is in the bag before I drive off. Today they gave me 3 sausage biscuits instead of sausage burritos (but they gave me hot sauce?). I explained the problem to the lady at the window and she very firmly stated she had put them in the bag. I offered her the bag and said they were not there, and she again insisted she had put them in the bag. She was basically calling me a liar so I raised my voice at her and firmly told her that she had not given me my burritos and that I did not order any biscuits. She told me to park in one of their waiting spots (yeah, right, I’m not going to be sent there for 15 minutes while they intentionally stall so they can teach me a lesson) and I told her I would wait right where I was until I got the burritos I paid for. She then scurried off and came back with two burritos. I pointed out I had paid for three and she scurried off again. Next a manager came over with my third burrito and let me know I was being a problem. I reminded her I had politely pointed out the mistake in my order until I had been called a liar by her idiot employee. Awful customer service. Mistakes will always happen, but don’t insult the integrity of your customers just because your crew screwed up. I will never go to this franchise again, and I’m encouraging everyone I know to...
