When youâre right next to Don Juanâs and youâre twice as expensive and half as good, well good luck.. the only reason we went in is because they had good reviews and they were open on a Sunday.
We came here because we wanted tacos but the idea of paying $2.99 for a street taco is a little outrageous in my opinion. When other places are about $2 or less maybe $2.50..
We decided to share their molcajete dish. It was supposed to come with steak, chicken, shrimp, and cactus. When we got the dish it had no cactus. The waitress said, â Oh we didnât have any cactus so we added more of the other stuff.â Which she didnât even mention to us before she put the order in or asked if it was okay or if we wanted something else.
The dish is supposed to come in a molcajete with salsa. The salsa had no flavor it was more of a tomato sauce. The steak was over cooked as well. The only good thing were the homemade tortillas. It also came with a side of beans and rice. The beans tasted funky and the rice was fluffy but no flavor.
To top it off the service was crap. The waitress didnât check on us. We had empty water cups the entire meal. She didnât bother asking how our food was and when we wanted to order two extra tortillas to finish our meal the waitress took her time and waited a while even after making eye contact to come back to our table.
It sounds like they are popular for their quesabirrias but if thats the only thing...
Read moreWalk into a truly authentic Mexican restaurant. Music too loud but probably because we sat directly next to the speaker they used for their music, so conversation and ordering was difficult. Went there specifically for their quesabirrias, as they had great reviews. Apparently, people in Twin either have no taste or theyâre just too nice to speak the truth. For 3.99 a birria, they were much too small. I live in Boise, and the city doesnât even charge that much for much bigger birrias. Luxury of the city though, more to offer its people. And then, not only were they small but they werenât even filled with that much meat. A spoonful of meat in a single birria, very disappointing in itself. Seems theyâre more focused on making money from such a small birria than they are providing a quality quesabirria. They do serve complimentary chips and salsa but they tasted like burnt fish. And this is probably the first Mexican restaurant Iâve eaten at that doesnât offer beer or margaritas. Would never recommend this place to any of my friends or family traveling through Twin. You people of Twin Falls need to get out more and learn what real culture is, cuz this...
Read moreThe worst restaurant I have ever eaten at! Food was horrible they were not very busy and it took forever for our food to come out my fajitas came out on a cold plate and the food was cold. The steak was full of fat. So bad that I could not even eat it and I don't mind some fat on my steak. The rice was not Spanish rice it was plain white rice unflavored the beans seem like they were canned beans that were watered down they were so runny and flavorless. The horchata was literally just white milk with cinnamon added to it so much that it was dry and gritty. I didn't even drink a quarter of it and didn't eat any of my steak. I attempted a couple bites and had to spit it out onto my plate it was so disgusting. It was seriously so bad it seemed like a joke like maybe Ashton Kutcher was going to come out and tell me I was being punked. I will never go there again it would not recommend it to anybody I haven't asked for another plate so when I made my fajitas I could actually sit them down instead of having to eat the whole thing at once and they brought me a...
