What an unfortunate disappointment. As a man who has been eaten hot wings for the past 30 years and all across the country I was really looking forward to having a new restaurant in town for hot wings.
Let's start with the pros since it's a shortlist.
The wings are respectable size shape and quality. None of those odd misshapen that other restaurants sometimes Carey that seem to be cobble together from bits and pieces of leftover meat or mutated chickens. I asked for the crispy and they complied with that request. There's nothing worse than a mushy soggy chicken wing. These are indeed crispy and would've been worthy of praise have they done anything else correct.
Con's
When placing an order I was told it would take 20 minutes. In fact took over 45 minutes. My lunch break was practically over and I had to go to the counter and ask for an update on my Wings because I need to get back to work. Instead of being able to sit in the restaurant and enjoy my lunch so I had to bring them back to my office. Specifically stated twice to the cashier that I wanted sauce on my wings and an extra cup of sauce on the side to dip it in. What I received was plain wings with no flavoring and a side of wing sauce. I could just stop right there because my whole point was to get juicy flavorful wings with extra sauce instead I got dry tasteless wings with a side of sauce. There is no medium wings offered on the menu. It goes from mild to hot. And then there's other assorted Cajun and what not flavors. I took a chance on the mild flavoring because most restaurants still have a little bit of kick in the mild wing sauce. Unfortunately this was not the case. They might as well mild wing sauce "butter." It was uncomfortable waiting in their cramped dining area not just because there's only four tables but because it must've been 55° in the dining room. They were running their air conditioner at full blast and it was only 53° outside. It would've been warmer if they would've opened the door. And for one final poke in the eye, once I did finally get back to my office and pull my tin wings out of the big grocery bag I noticed there was no napkins included with the order. I think it's pretty common knowledge and eating as a messy endeavor. so plan on bringing your own because apparently you don't get them with a takeout order.
Eating about five of the wings and throwing the other five in the trash. They were plain with no flavor, the mild sauce is basically orange butter sauce, and the whole experience was a big fat waste of time for $18. There is no option to post a picture here but I'll see if I can post it separately. I for one will be going back to...
Read moreThe Twin Falls Wingstop location is great! If you're used to a sports bar wing place like Buffalo Wild Wings, this is not like that, which I appreciate. It is a small location, more for just grab and go if you order ahead in the app.
As far as the wings, they are excellent! Before Wingstop all we really had in the area for wings was Buffalo Wild Wings, and I always found theirs to be a bit lacking. Just personal preference, but they are a bit too crunchy for me and usually don't have near enough sauce. Plus, if you want to stay and eat, the environment is very noisy, but that's just cause it's more of a sports bar thing. Wingstop's wings have a bit of crunch but don't feel like you're eating a bag of chips, and they are very flavorful. The variety of sauces and seasonings is incredible, and having tried most I find them to all be great and cater to many tolerances of spice, or even no spice at all.
Not only are the wings great, the fries are awesome too! And when I feel like trying to eat something a little better for me than fries with my wings, they don't skimp on the veggie sticks! At Buffalo all you really get are a couple of tiny bags of little baby carrots. At Wingstop, they fill the container with large sliced carrots so you get plenty for your meal and a snack at a later time if you want!
Another awesome thing is some of their deals on wings, like 70 cent boneless on Mondays and Tuesdays. I usually order the NBA Full Court Flavor Feast, which comes with 6 tenders and 16 boneless wings and a large side. I like this deal a lot because for me it's two meals and a couple of snacks, all at a great price. Even just splitting it between two people it would be more than enough food. Plus you can get multiple flavors, so when they come out with a new one you can test it out on a couple tenders first to see if you like it.
The service is excellent, the guys all know who I am as a regular customer and are always happy to serve! They are awesome guys, and I've always gotten my order on time, sometimes earlier if I manage to make it there before the time I set for pickup. I would highly recommend ordering ahead, you'll get your food a lot faster than just showing up and ordering. It can take a bit of time if you just show up and order, but they are wings made to order, which in my opinion is great because that means they haven't been sitting under a heat lamp for hours at a time.
All in all, five stars, they are doing a great job and making great food! Keep up the...
Read moreThe food is alrighy but the service is terrible. I put in an online order, it says it will be ready in twenty minutes so I show up in 25. There's a small line and the two cashiers didn't say anything. One was just slowly counting her money(?), and the other was just walking around confused looking at the other girl for guidance. It had to me a good 5 minutes before I just step up and say hi I have an online order I just want in and out. She looks at me confused and with an attitude asks what name and says it will be right out. Then the two girls walk like 5 feet away and they start whispering and giggling. Obviously being totally disrespectful. Then they start taking a bunch of food out of one bag and splitting it up because they put multiple orders in one bag. At that point most the line walked out seeing how big of a mess this place it. The staff is very unorganized, disrespectful and immature. I will...
