Valentine’s Day is my wife & my anniversary. We made an online reservation for 9:45. With online reservations, the restaurant sets up the allowed times. We walk in a couple minutes before our time & nobody is at the hostess station. I walk around and finally get the attention of some rude person. He says he cannot serve us because the kitchen is closed. I explained we had a 9:45 reservation and he walks over to hostess station to check. After seeing my name (the reservation was there for the last 2 days!) he asks, “Do you know what you want because we close in 5 minutes”. My wife is 2 months pregnant, starving from working at our business all day and we both ate an early lunch to enjoy our rare dinner together with our 3 yr old. He then says, I don’t know who made the reservation but I am going to find out...Really! I just said I made it online! He was extremely rude & then sat us next to a large party who was yelling with laughter & drinking. No doubt he sat us there to make our experience worse in order to get us out. He again said he needed to find out who made the 9:45 reservation!? Really!? He made a 3rd point to say we aren't welcome. At this point I had no choice but to stay since my wife and child were so hungry. Finding another open restaurant at 10 pm would have ended with us eating at the Silver Diner. The jerk left our table after literally dropping the menus in anger. He returned back 2 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. Every item we asked for he said they closed that part of the kitchen. We finally had to settle for soup, an appetizer, and boring teriyaki salmon! He returned 10 minutes later carrying 2 glasses of water in 1 hand as if it was Denny’s. BTW there was 3 of us. A few minutes later he returned with burnt chicken, salmon drenched in a bottled teriyaki sauce and a bowl of soup (I have photos & I will post). I asked for a Diet Coke. A 3/4 filled cup of flat soda, no straw is what he must have heard me ask for cuz that’s what I got. He never once returned to the table to ask if we needed anything or how our meal was even tho he walked by with his winter jacket on 3x (I’m sure he knew how terrible the kitchen purposely made our food so what was the point of asking). The kicker: The manager stood at the loud table directly behind us (actually connected to our table) and was talking and laughing right with them for over 20 minutes! What manager would encourage loud obnoxious laughing while he has other patrons right next to the table (obviously a manger who would allow the awful service his waitstaff delivered). There were plenty of tables well far away from these loud ppl who think the world revolves around them and it’s ok to ruin other diners meals as long as they are enjoying themselves. We weren’t even finished our meal and the staff started putting the chairs on the tables. The only nice server (Russian maybe) came up and asked, do you need any boxes? I was so angry I asked for boxes and we took the “food” to go. Kizuna completely ruined our Anniversary, our Valentines Day and one of our rare times we get to eat out since we run a business that is open 12 hours a day 7 days a week. There are a limited amount of these special days in a couples life. It’s Valentines Day! Most places extend hours and these ppl had to have seen all day they had a 9:45 reservation. If they didn’t want the seating, a professional, well-run/managed restaurant would have called and asked if we could come early. It’s not like we were a walk-in! 76% of the reason people return to a restaurant is service. I will make sure I will tell everyone my experience, spread this review all over the internet and charge back this meal since I did not get what I paid for. This place is a...

Read moreA note to state before my review. I arrived at 8:30 when they close at 9:30. However that should not have impacted quality of service. I chose this place after reading reviews and craving some sushi and ramen. I chose the pork shio ramen with hot sake along with a selection of Eel, Squid, Salmon, and California roll. I always order there rolls at new sushi places because they're generally good staples. Upon arrival everything was wonderfully plated. However after starting with the sushi, I found disappointment. Not only did all the fish taste old and fishy, but half the nigiri would not stick to its rice. Didn't help that they had these large decorative, but useless chopsticks. The squid and eel were very chewy. I then moved on to my ramen which looked great. But as soon as I sampled the broth I was just let down. While it seemed others complained about theirs being over salted, mine had practically no flavor. The noodles tasted cheap and sub-par. I continued to struggle with the chopsticks and got through most of the meal ok but disappointed. Meanwhile my server is consistently rushing me and asking if I'm done yet about 4 or 5 times. She also forgot my hot sake until about half way through my meal. At the end I had the tempura cheesecake which by contrast was delicious (but then again, it's fried dessert, not hard to get right). Finally at the end around 9:15 the check was given to me unasked for. I had planned to order another drink but decided against it since clearly they wanted me out. I understand that people want to close on time and want to get started and I was ready to leave before 9:30. But if those are your open hours then be on call for work. I don't expect courtesy if I was to stay after open hours but if your door says 9:30, then it's then. Note though. I never arrive at a restaurant that I plan to dine in at and later than an hour to close.
Point is, while the atmosphere and location are nice and the dessert is as well, they are overshadowed by lazy flavorless ramen and old sushi. All at much too high a cost for their...
