The food here is absolutely delicious—bold, hearty, and of course, spicy! 🌶️
To start, you’re served tostadas with salsa verde and salsa roja on the side. Let me tell you, the flavors are explosive!
We tried the chicken flautas, a dish I always order at Mexican restaurants because I’m a big fan. However, I was a bit disappointed this time. The chicken was fried first, then wrapped in a tortilla and fried again—almost like a deep-fried chicken tender inside a tortilla. The plate comes with rice and beans.
Next, we had the filete a la crema, a mix of fish, shrimp, and scallops tossed in a creamy white sauce—not Alfredo, as it had a different flavor profile. This dish is served with rice and salad.
We also sampled the aguachiles de camarón in salsa roja and negra. Fair warning—the salsa roja is seriously spicy! 🥵🌶️ But it’s packed with incredible flavor.
The Tyson sushi roll, served with eel sauce on the side, was a standout—absolutely delicious! You have to try it.
Finally, we tasted a unique ceviche with pineapple, cooked and raw shrimp, and octopus, beautifully served in a hollowed-out pineapple. Not only was it visually stunning, but it was also incredibly tasty—my favorite dish of the night!
Pina colada was tasty and the michelada was too!!
The weird thing is that at one point we had 4 different people taking our orders. We had to flag down our waiter.
If you like seafood and spicy, you should definitely check this place out! If you’re looking for something different to eat try this place out. There are other options that don’t...
Read moreA Truly Disappointing Seafood Experience I visited this place last night around 10:30 PM with a friend, drawn by the promise of seafood and the fact that it was open late. Unfortunately, what followed was a series of significant disappointments. I began with 12 oysters, but the strong, unpleasant odor and taste made it impossible to eat more than four. I even had to spit one out. To make matters worse, my friend's food order was repeatedly forgotten by the waiter. After two reorders and a significant wait, he finally gave up on eating, as his food simply never materialized. My replacement dish, a second attempt at ordering something edible, was also a complete letdown. The seafood tasted dirty and off, regardless of the seasoning. Having grown up in a tropical city with a deep appreciation for fresh seafood, I can confidently say the quality here was shockingly poor. Despite the terrible experience, we paid our bill in full and even left a tip. However, I strongly advise against dining here, particularly if you're looking for quality seafood. This was, without a doubt, my worst seafood...
Read moreI recently dined at Mariscos El Malecon and had a fantastic experience, largely due to the exceptional service provided by our server, Javier.
From the moment we walked in, Javier made us feel welcome with a warm greeting and a friendly smile. He had a good knowledge of the menu. When we were unsure about what to order, he took the time to explain the ingredients and even gave us some recommendations.
The timing of the service was also impeccable. Our drinks arrived promptly, and we never felt rushed or neglected. Our server checked in at just the right moments, ensuring we had everything we needed.
Food was really good and overall, the service provided contributed significantly to our positive dining experience. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for the food made our visit memorable. I would definitely return to this restaurant, and I hope to have Javier as our...
