American Deli — Restaurant in Union City

This restaurant is very shady. 😡 They tried to give me pre cooked food in the pretense that they just cooked it. 😳 I went in and ordered a 10 piece lemon pepper wings. Paid for them and turned to walk away from the counter. I wasn't even gone from the counter one minute and they called my order number, as to say my order was ready. How can my order be ready and I just placed it not even 2 minutes ago. So they tried to give me precooked wings that were hard as a rock. So when I refused to take them because I knew they were not just cooked. They made the pretense that they were cooking me fresh wings. So apparently they had more than those 10 wings set aside that were already precooked cooked. Because the wings I brought home were hard as a rock too. I dont know why I didn't check them before I left and drove all the way home. So I called and made my complaint with the manager and instead of her giving good customer service for all my inconvenience and for the fact that your shady cooks just tried to pull the okie doke on me earlier right in your own face. She refers me to the owner and his cheap tail tells me to bring the wings in tomorrow. As if I'm gonna save them my fridge til the next day. SMH you try to pull an okie doke on me by selling me old wings and instead of showing good customer service you tell me to bring the wings back the next day. Give me my gas money as well then. You better beware if you buy from this restaurant. Also the cook was running his hand through his hair...

I would give this place 5 stars but the wait time is sometimes a little much and the size of their wings is childish otherwise I love this restaurant and have never had an issue with this location(the one staff member is always rude, she just has a bad attitude).

I usually get Phillies and I order wings and a burger for my kids. If I order extra sauce on the wing, sometimes it’s barely noticeable. Please don’t charge and skimp for the provided charge. The wings are about the size of sweet tarts in length (2.5 inch) and as wide as two fingers, maybe 2 inches across. This is not cost efficient imo, (the spot down the way has better sized wings.) The burgers are always big in size but I cannot speak on if they are dry however I’ve received no complaints. Fries are Delish with season salt but I don’t like how the shaker is out in the lobby so I shake mines at home. I’ve had issue in the passed with the fries being obviously old, they’ve changed brands recently which caused a price increase but I don’t think I’ll ever stop purchasing their fries.

Ate there about a week ago...super disappointed in the staff. Two young girls were working behind the counter. When I walked in instead of being greeted one of the girls continued to talk loudly to a group of customers waiting for their food. I had to walk up to the counter and tell her I had called in an order. I pay as she continues to talk to the other customers and tells me my food will be up shortly. At this point i'm already annoyed and I had called in my order 20 minutes earlier. I was told it'd be about 10 minutes for my food. Getting more annoyed. I end up waiting almost another 20 minutes before I receive my food (2 wing & philly combo plates...nothing crazy). The entire time i'm thinking maybe she will offer me my drinks while i'm waiting since they obviously had not even begun to cook my order...nope. She continues to talk as I glare at her. I think she gets it. I'm pissed. The only reason this review is getting 2 stars instead of one is because the cook hooked up the philly's unlike other locations. Good food but bad vibes. Won't be visiting this...
