The service is beyond horrible at this location. This is my first time at this location and I will NOT be back. I was picking up a mobile order that I spoke with the young lady on the speaker about, gave her the name and order number 72 after sitting in a extremely long line that was wrapped around the building. To pull up to the window and the cashier asks "Did you just pull up" HOW... How do u just pull up where there is a curb on the other side of the drive thru? I tell her no, I gave my friends name and order number to the lady in the speaker. Then a man, that ends up being the manager Avery, comes to the window and says " Next time you have to give your number to the person at the speaker box". I say I don't know what you talking about the young lady confirmed the spelling of the name and I gave her the order number. He walks away without even an apology. The entire interaction was rude. At that time I didn't know his name or title so I ask the original cashier did they not ask the girl that's on the speaker I then explain how rude this situation was on top of the fact the food was already paid for. Another young man that's inside at the counter register asked what's going on I start telling him and then the manager Avery comes back up to the window and interrupts us saying how we already got our food and he doesn't see the issue. I advise him the other guy asked what was going on. He then starts saying how they have a long line and he isn't dealing with this attempts to close the window again with no apology for being wrong. This is all happening as I'm still talking then a young lady with long braids in a low pony tail, that looked as though she was packing the chicken came and closed the window. Now me and my friend are both like yeah we definitely contacting corporate. I blow my horn to try to get the cashier to open the window so I can get the young lady with the braids name but Avery tells her not to open the window. I point at the young lady showing my friend which one closed the window and the young lady with the braids gives me the middle finger.
The issue is management. When your manager is rude and ignorant the employees will follow their leader. Those are teens working under the ignorance and unprofessionalism of a manager that does not need to have that position. He is teaching them that rude customer service is okay and coming to customers as if they are on the street and not at their job is okay. I'm not one of those people that believe the customer is always right but this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received at any...
Read moreThis may be the worst fast food experience I've ever had (which is saying something considering how terrible the McDonald's next to my house is). The whole story is very long and the beginning is quite amusing & I was actually in a very good mood the entire time, despite such poor service. I will trim the details here though. The main points: I arrived 6 minutes before they opened (Sunday, June 11) and a line of five cars quickly formed behind me. I told the girl who informed me they were still closed that I was happy to wait. She told me I absolutely could not wait at the speaker box. When I told her I didn't want to lose my place in line she told me it "wasn't her problem" & "I HAD to move" My parents were in the car behind me, so I was able to pull away without losing my spot and did not pull back up the speaker box until opening time (which I was happy to do knowing a lot of fast food restaurants use timers). Despite the initial insistence, it was close to 5 minutes before anybody came back to the speaker to take my order. At the window, the girl took my money and then did not speak to me or look at me the rest of the time I was there, which was a little over 20 minutes. (I know the time because I had to take a screenshot of where we were just after pulling away). When she finally came back, she threw the food at me and slammed the window shut again without a word. Despite her rudeness & having waited so long, I did not say anything, or even really care that I wasn't offered an apology, because me and my boys were in high spirits talking about the trip ahead and watching funny videos on my son's tablet. So we pulled forward to wait on my parents (another 6-7 min) It was not until I pulled out of the parking lot that I discovered the crucial bit of information she failed to share with me was that they (apparently) were out of lids. I had to pull over less than a block away and unpack half my luggage to look for clothes for my son and my cleaning supply bag because he, and the front half of my car, were covered in various sauces and gravies. It was at this point that I noticed they also forgot several items I paid for. I did not go back, as I assumed it would be pointless and even more time consuming than it already had been. I do accept that I should have checked all the bags while we were waiting for my parents. That way, I may have headed off the gravy catastrophe. Or at the very least gotten all the items I paid for. All I know is that I will never again choose to go to a Popeyes during...
Read moreI placed and paid my order through the Popeyes website on Valentines Day. I had to take a Lyft to pick it up. Once I got their I tried to go in restaurant and all of the doors were locked. Their were people standing around so I was confused on what was going on. So the only thing that I could think to do to get my food was walk to drive thru window and knock on the window. The people looked at me like I was crazy and still no one moved to come and find out what I needed. I proceeded to keep knocking on the window because I wanted to get my food that I paid for. A woman comes over and has the nastiest attitude as if I am making her life chaotic or a living hell. She asked when I placed the order . I said about 20 minutes ago. She asked if it was through DoorDash or Uber Eatz and I said neither. I ordered through the Popeyes Website. She claimed that she didnt see anything. Finally, she says that she sees it in the system but its going to be 20 minutes before its done. I said.. fine. Mind you their are 4 vehicles behind me in a drive thru that I do not have a car in. So 20 minutes pass and I am still standing in drive thru. I knocked on window again to see if my food was ready and I was told no, and that it would be an additional 20 minutes. At this point, I am so angry that I told them to just forget it. Just bless someone else that food. I didn't have any more patience to deal with this type of behavior. I called another Lyft and headed to work. I was hungry, angry and embarrassed that I had to go to the drive thru window in no car to get someone to even acknowledge that I was their and that I ordered food. The Lyft driver picked me up and she felt that something was wrong so she asked. I shared with her what happened. I didn't want to go and work 12 hours with no food on my stomach. She turned around and said that she was not going to let me go to work like that. She said that if she has to wait until I got my food then that is what she would do. I was thankful for her kindness and empathy. So we went back and finally the food was ready but stil the woman had the nastiest attitude. I realize this Popeyes always has something going on. I had to ask myself why were the doors locked. I have come to the one in Union City more than a few times and its always something going on. I would say never go to this Popeyes. Take the time and gas to travel to another one. This is the most horrific experience that I have ever had. This place is about as hood as it gets. Don't waste your time money, energy or gas on the one...
