Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Union City

Service is par. However, you should never ask for a tip before you serve. Second of all, you should never tell your client it’s gonna take at least 20 minutes before they get the food. Most importantly, we need to know who’s managing this place. Because all the windows need to be cleaned. The restrooms are an absolute travesty. Glade air fresheners in the bathroom are not a representation of them being cleaned. The urinals, and the countertops, have not been washed. I don’t think all week. More importantly, you don’t use home goods in a commercial establishment. The upside to this steak ‘n Shake is that it has a lot of potential, there’s always a ton of customers; however, the customers are minimal thinking and except low life performance and service. I am a customer that expects a little bit extra. This is the going concern from the southside Union City, South Fulton, College Park, East point this is what we’re getting on this side of town that needs to be corrected. Finally after further review, I think the windows might’ve gotten cleaned since the last time I was here, less than 10 days ago; However, daily all surfaces need to be wiped down with sanitation in mind. I don’t think we’re asking for much , I just think that if you’re going to make a ton of money in my community, then you should act like a real business owner and treat it as such. Most of the booths need replacement of upholstery. I’d like to mention the food most of the time good. I did not get what I expected. I ordered a #7 which is a 4/4/4 it had nothing on it other than cheese and I got fries. I probably should’ve ordered a original with the trimmings. I thought that’s what the double steak was however, I may be wrong. Although I was not asked. I ordered a small and a Large milkshake. I got two medium. And it cost me $15.53. I did not get a receipt. I know we could do better parking lot and outside needs to be cleaned and parking lot is a travesty. I’m sure someone is reaping profits however, I know things could be better unfortunately most people on this side of town don’t like to write. It has been at least two years since I’ve walked in and read it at the door and been served at the booth. I know we like to use COVID-19 as an excuse for not having full service. But when you’re getting full payment from people and asking for tips before they even get their food. I think you should at least try to think about what you’re doing. Food was ordered at the counter. Then called to pick up.

I have never in my life been so furious. I went to the Steak and Shake in Union City, GA. 6789 Shannon Parkway, Union City, GA 30291

I ordered 5 different meals 4 of which had single burgers and one of the meals which happened to be a double cheese burger meal (was missing one of the Patty's) . I went inside to ask them if they could make my burger over and the owner told me that I needed to bring back each burger to be inspected. I told him that I checked each burger and brought mine back inside to be fixed. The owner refused to make my burger over and I told him I have kids in the car eating and he could literally just add a patty to my sandwich. He still refused and told me he was not making my sandwich over. I told him to just refund me for the sandwich because I was in a hurry. The owner told me he was not refunding me anything. He then proceeded to tell me that sometimes the Patty's can stick together but I ensured him that I checked each sandwich. I told him that everyone makes errors and that the right thing to do would be to fix the error. I even told him that I do not need to steal or make up an excuse to get an extra patty on a sandwich. I told him that I work hard and can afford the things that I want, i pointed to my car and told him "does it look like I need to lie about a damn sandwhich". I am furious. The owner told me he does not want to hear it and he will call the police. I told him to go ahead and call, the owner proceeds to tell me "WHO DO YOU THINK THEY WILL BELIEVE?" As an educated BLACK WOMAN, I will not stand for anyone that is not Black who owns and establishment in an area full of people who look like me telling me that the police will believe him over me. Why do people continuously put places of business in Our neighborhoods only to treat us like animals. Please do not patronize this place of business as well as tell any and everyone you know. After I get back home I plan to strategize about how I am going to move and my next...

I give it a 3/5 because I ordered 3 #7 meals and a #8 meal. No special requests or except onions ect... And I thought that that was going to be the simplest I could've possibly have made the order right? Wrong. All orders were awful. Every fry in each meal was cold, no salt at all and we're actually stale like they'd been yesterday's fries from the fridge that got reheated. Yuck. I give credit when it's due the #7 I had was very good minus the exception of the fries. I'll admit that. Now, I did pick off the onions... I didn't know it came with onions... No biggie. There wasn't an over abundance of condiments over powering the taste and sogging the bun. Which is fine by me. Possibly a tad bit more ketchup... But that's just a preference thing, I'm sure. The other 2 #7 orders were kinda funny and so I kinda had to overlook them because I will say they were a little busy when we came thru. 2 bottom buns on 1 and 2 top buns on the other. Lol. Anywho... The #8 was absolutely a disaster! Well, if you like your burger soaked in butter to the point where you can't even tell if there is a bun or not because it's turned to straight mush... That's all you buddy. It made my stomach turn looking at exactly how much butter they lubed that thing up with. Arteries clogged instantly just from the thought of trying to consume even 1 bite. Terrible.

All in all for the drive thru service window I say 10/10! Quick, accurate, well mannered and professional.

I would say another couple days of training for the assembly area and fry area (whatever it may be) wouldn't exactly hurt.

I still love you guys tho. Just offering...
