Our Overall Grade = A++
This is one of our favorite places to go in Anderson.
There are a lot of restaurants in the area, but there aren't many good choices.
The service is usually pretty good and the food is almost always consistently excellent no matter what we order. You can tell that the management spends a great deal of effort training servers and that good service is of great importance.
One of the first things that will set the tone for a good service experience is whether or not they give you plates, utensils and napkins before you receive appetizers. One of my biggest pet peeves when dining out is when you have an appetizer delivered and there are no plates, silverware, or napkins given to the table beforehand. This might seem unimportant but when you have a table full of children, it's essential. They're very consistent with good service even when they are busy which keeps us coming back time and time again.
One of my favorite dishes is the grilled tilapia which is served on a bed of rice and I usually order it with broccoli. I'm not an everyday seafood person but this is by far the best meal I've ever had and one of my favorites when comparing to any restaurant.
They usually have a great beer selection with rotating taps.
They have a great kids meal selection as well even though they are a little pricey. I do not recommend the corn dogs because you get just a few tiny corn dogs and any kid who eats this meal will still be hungry. Besides, you don't want to feed your kid corn dogs anyway 😂 There are some healthy choices, especially with the sides. My children usually like to get fruit or broccoli as sides, which both are incredibly delicious. The chicken tenders are usually a favorite among the kids because they give you large portions of chicken. The pork sandwich is also enough to feed a small army of children, so that's a good option for a hungry child who can eat a lot.
They also have a really good rewards program even though it's not the easiest to sign up for or use. It takes a bit of effort but you get some pretty good perks. Also be sure to inform your server to credit you each time you visit because you can't add them later even with the receipt.
Overall, this place is one of our favorites. Even if there were better options in Anderson, we would probably still go here from time to time because of the great service and always consistently good food.

Read moreWouldn’t recommend… this was our first time coming and though it would be like a Bdubs we were clearly mistaken. When we arrived everything was off to a great start, after seeing the menu we were thinking damn this is a pretty nice restaurant. After ordering we got our appetizers quick as well and they were delicious(mozzarella sticks and pickle sticks). But when we got our actual food his steak was cold and my nacho cheese fries was ordered without bacon (I am a vegetarian) and was very clear on no bacon. I do understand this is not fault of our server. I do not appreciate our service either, we were served our appetizers then never checked on till we were past done with our food with one manager seen walking around the dinning area. I had my plate of nachos sitting at the end of our table. After asking for our check and asking for the nacho to be taken off our bill she brought back boxes and the receipt without the nachos gone. I do understand she could have misheard but at that point I was frustrated and wanted to leave the restaurant asap. But tell me why the other manager did not address someone standing by the kitchen? To bet yet have another manger come to say she could take off $5 off the bill after not eating a but off of my plate the she told me she saw. She offered to remake it to go but honestly I didn’t want something that just completely discussed me. They took there sweet time to get things right so much so my boyfriend was even asking if I wanted to just leave. We finally got our bill walked up to pay bc we wanted to be gone (forgetting he never got his other side). But after paying 50 sum dollar for two for eh food and horrible service I can’t say this is another restaurant I will never revisit. I was very...
Read moreMy dad and I decided to have lunch here on 9/9. We just moved to the area and had never been here before. We were quickly greeted by the hostess, Sam. My father is disabled and has trouble walking, but Sam immediately sat us in the closest booth to the door without us having to request it. Being so close to the door, I was able to see that she constantly worked and busied herself with bussing, wiping menus, updating the floor plan while still greeting guests quickly. Our server Kayla was quick, efficient and pleasant. She made sure the timing of my "appetizer" (chili that was a side choice) came out with enough time to be enjoyed before our entrees arrived. Maybe 15 mins after ordering our lunch was brought out. She made sure our items were correct and complete, then gave us time to try them and checked back to ensure we liked them. She left us alone to enjoy lunch, but never left us wanting for anything. My steak was cooked perfectly and only needed salt and pepper. My only reason for not rating five stars is the cleanliness of the restrooms. At first glance, they're fine, but upon further inspection you can see the neglect. We arrived two hours after opening and even on a busy lunch they wouldn't have gotten that dirty. I work in a restaurant and I know this doesn't reflect the cleanliness of the kitchen because our bathrooms are just looked over at closing while our bar, dining rooms and kitchen areas are critiqued. This definitely was a pleasant experience with a comfortable atmosphere, quick and friendly service and great food. My father and I are looking forward to returning for dinner to see what else Butterbee's...
