Layla's Delicacies — Restaurant in Union

Layla’s Delicacies are an incredible edible art in Tunisian fashion. They are packaged so beautifully. I grew up eating treats like these from wonderful shoppes like HolyLand Market when it was managed by the amazing Sharara Family in KnoxVegas.

In my culture(s), these were served for graduation, Eid Haflas and many other family and community occasions. Now, no matter where I travel I can have a delightful box to remind me of the good times and celebrate the new.

The flavours are full bodied and far from “lite.” The nuts are fresh and still crunchy which is important. It has a very clean aftertaste and pairs well with Joy Milk Tea and loose leaf 🍃 (thanks Dawn and Jack).

Shipping was fairly fast. These were ordered on Friday. It shipped on Monday and is now in my hands today - a Wednesday. There is currently a discount for first time orders. I’m impressed with the customer service and they do take special requests and sell some of these by the pound.

Allergens: I have a gluten sensitivity and asked about obtaining items w/o gluten. They answered right away. This is not the box with the gluten free option but there is one that exists.

I had the incredible pleasure of ordering handmade Mediterranean treats from Tunisia from @LaylasDelicacies. I ordered the Golden Trio which consisted of the Appreciation Gift Box, the Deglet Nour Gift Box and a box of their delicious Kaak Warka. They absolutely exceeded my expectations! I read a review that said their treats are just as good, if not, BETTER than ones made in Tunisia itself. It's no surprise since I also read they import their dates from Chebika, Tunisia! I loved each and every single one I tasted, every bite more delicious than the last! It is IMPOSSIBLE to pick a favorite. The packaging was very elegant. Every individual piece was an absolute work of art. It looked like the artists placed each and every single nut or rose petal one at a time! I ALMOST felt bad for eating them, until I tasted them that is! 😉 Think nuttiness with decadent hints of sweetness! Almond, hazelnut, pistachio, white chocolate, artisan sugar lace, berry paste, rose water all came together to create a rich tapestry of tantalizing flavors! I shared these with my parents and they loved them. My dad will also be ordering from Layla's soon since we've run out so quickly 😉 I even received a handwritten "Thank You" card which I thought was such a nice touch. These beautiful Tunisian delicacy's are as much a gourmet treat as they are pieces of art. Sometimes when you order something the picture and what you get are not the same, it's a let down. Not with Layla's Delicacies, every bite was delicious and not overly sweet. The attention to detail was stunning, the pieces are clearly hand decorated not with processed chemicals but with natural ingredients including pistachios, almonds, gold dust and more. We travel all over the world and always look for unique tastes that we can bring back and share with our family and friends. This is by far one of the most unique and delicious we have tasted. I disagree with one of the reviewers who thought the pieces were too small for the price. I actually think they are underpriced for the all natural, high end ingredients used especially considering how stunning they look. I would suggest you put a video on your site of someone doing the decorating. Some of this has to be done with tweezers to get the precise placement on each confection.
