Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Universal City

Please separate your bagels during preparation and use separate cooking areas or something. Two of my last 3 orders have yielded bagels that tasted like garlic. Neither one of us ordered anything with garlic. It seems like garlic salt was all over the bottom of the bagels. We had to throw them away on the first of the orders mentioned. The second order included what was supposed to be a plain bagel with pork sausage, two eggs, and cheddar. It also tasted like garlic.

This morning the bagels in my order were supposed to be two honey whole wheat and a cinnamon raisin. One of the whole wheat and the cinnamon raisin were instead cinnamon sugar bagels. It made my sandwich taste terrible.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t change it out because these were mobile pickup orders and we didn’t notice the errors until I got home with them. At that point, it’s not worth going back. We shouldn’t have to check before leaving for something that is so simple to do right. Three times in a row that our order had been blatantly wrong! Very disappointed.

The overall rating would be 1 star if it was food alone but I want to give the staff credit for being friendly. But please get it right with the orders. Take the extra time, train employees, or something.

We used to like picking up our order a couple of times a week but we are at the point now that we just don’t want to order from there anymore unless we can eat at the location since that’s the only way we’ll be able to swap out...

So normally I don’t take the time to right a bad review but this is needed. This is the second time at this location they were unorganized and out of everything! They waited 15 mins after my order to tell me that they were out of jalapeño cheddar bagels, said it would be 7-8 mins for fresh ones. Ok fine I’ll wait. Then after waiting they said o sorry we are also out of pretzel 🥨 bagels for the pretzel dippers. So.. not it’s been 45 mins to get my bagels! (Without the pretzel one) Absolutely unacceptable! Would NOT recommend this location! (As I had my husband get food, they said sorry we are also out of blueberry muffins, after when I ordered and made sure they had them as they were not in the case!) End of my straw I got my money back and will not be back to this location. As every single Item I ordered an hour prior they were now out of! (You also can’t get any employee to even look or help you here!) Einstein do better, fire everyone and start over at this location btw it’s their newest location...

I’ve visited other locations and always had a great experience, but unfortunately, this one fell short. The cleanliness of the floor was noticeably lacking, which made the environment feel unsanitary. Additionally, some of the staff members came across as dismissive, especially when there was a mix-up with my order. Instead of helping to resolve the issue, they seemed frustrated, even though a few items were missing. Also, the food was cold and not even close to the way other locations prepare the sandwiches.

I genuinely believe this location has potential, but improvements in cleanliness, customer service, and attention to detail are necessary. With some positive changes in these areas, I’m sure it could offer the same great experience as...
