Simply delicious! I clearly don't see where these negative comments are coming from. I wholeheartedly believe that you can't please everyone in today's society! Don't let the Karens and Kens stop you from trying this place out!! Trust me, I know food of all types, and I've been a google guide for over 7 years. Duck Donuts Pittsburgh is good; A must try if you've never experienced a Duck Donuts. So things you need to know before you stop in. 1) Be prepared to wait! These are freshly made to order Donuts, and greatness takes time! Weekend mornings, you're definitely gonna wait! Try ordering ahead if possible. 2)The flavor combinations are endless! I suggest going to the website prior to arrival to see the menu and have some idea of what you want when you get there. This may help move the line along faster. Though the staff are very helpful at the counter if you're undecided. 3)Don't be a douche and order more than 2 dozen as a walk in.......order ahead! The staff and customers in line will be thankful! 4)The shop is small, not much room to wait. With that being said, don't bring the whole family in when its busy. I know that everyone wants to see whats going on, but society hates large groups these days. Best to bring the kids during slower times so they can actually see things being made. That's just a few tips to make your experience as best as it can be. These Donuts are so fresh, you'll want to slap them! Hot, fluffy and the topping are not too sweet! The shop was clean and the staff were awesome. (And there are peanut allergy warning signs posted) Give this place a try, and don't mind the negative comments here. Be an individual and form your own opinion. Oh, and buy a rubber duck at the register!! I'll definitely be back!

My daughter and I were looking for something to do. And we always enjoy checking out new donut places. We had heard about Duck Donuts and thought it was worth a drive. In fairness, Duck Donuts IS a chain and we are usually trying to avoid chains on these adventures. And, unfortunately, this whole experience felt like a chain. Yes, the donuts DO come off the little conveyor belt right in front of you. And yes, they are pretty tasty when they’re still warm. But this is, essentially, the same donut with different toppings on it. The donut is more of a vehicle for the toppings than a bespoke donut experience. Furthermore, I’m a fan of a crème filled donut, which they don’t have here. So while this was a fun experience and I have no complaints, I would not go back here. Nor would I tell anybody that they should go out of their way for Duck Donuts Pittsburgh.

Duck Donuts are a treasure of the outer banks where I'm from. These delicious vanilla cake donuts are the perfect method to get the incredible flavors and sensations that Duck Donuts offers. A medley of assorted pre-named flavor profiles to try but then to top it off you can order your own custom creation. Selecting the covering, the topping and the drizzle. I took a group of 3 others with me, among us we split a dozen donuts. I tried to get a picture and in seconds, well... If you see the pic you know how it went. No one could hold back from the deliciousity of the donuts.

Donuts and ducks, though seemingly unrelated, share a special place in the hearts of many for their simple joys. Donuts are universally beloved for their sweet, indulgent nature, offering a delightful balance of soft, doughy interiors and crispy, sugary exteriors. With countless varieties—glazed, filled, chocolate-covered, or sprinkled—donuts cater to every taste preference, turning an ordinary morning into something extraordinary. Their versatility in flavor and texture, combined with their ability to evoke nostalgia, makes them a timeless treat enjoyed by people of all ages.

Ducks, on the other hand, provide a unique charm in the animal kingdom. Their playful waddles, soft quacks, and graceful swimming movements make them endearing to watch and a symbol of tranquility. Ducks are often associated with calm waters, adding a sense of serenity to any pond or lake they inhabit. Beyond their adorable appearance, ducks are also remarkable creatures, with an innate ability to adapt to various environments, making them a fixture in both urban parks and rural wetlands.

Together, donuts and ducks bring joy to everyday life in their own ways. Donuts satisfy the sweet tooth, offering comfort in every bite, while ducks offer a sense of peace and amusement as they go about their daily routines. Whether it's enjoying a donut with friends or observing ducks gliding across a pond, both bring a little more sweetness and simplicity...

UPDATE (2 to 5 Stars): The owner reached out to me and expressed his disappointment with our experience. He didn't see happy that corners were cut in the evening.

We decided to give them another shot and we found it to be a much different experience. Glad to see a local business owner that jumps in and addresses problems. Don't Go in The Evening

Took the family to get some desert donuts around 6:30PM. Clearly they were planning on walking out the door by 7:00. The chairs were on the tables and I'm guessing the machines were cooling down.

They made us a half dozen and I couldn't be more disappointed. The donuts themselves were greasy, so much so that when we went to eat the donuts at home all the topings just fell off. They took spoonfuls of the icing and filled the middle of the donuts. The excessive sugar and the soggy greasy donuts put us all off to this.

I'm familiar with the concept but never ate at this specific store before. Can't say they gave me a reason to want...
