I really wish I had a better experience with takeout here. I ordered the Gai Tod because it looks so good in the pictures and the reviews were great. I, unfortunately, did not care for it. The chicken was chewy/rubbery and a little dry. The crispy part was tasty but I just couldn’t get past the chewiness. The rice has a strange aftertaste, like a lightly pungent floral taste. Not sure if that makes sense but that’s the only way to describe it. The sauce was excellent-just enough spice and sweet. The soup that comes with it was tasteless. Couldn’t even continue to eat it. This is a great concept so I will give it another try at some point but my first experience was not good. I hope it was just a bad day...
