A Picture is worth 1000 words. Over the Summer I reached out to Kate for a birthday cake for my mom. My mom was personal friends with Kate and she has done several cakes for my family events. I reached out to Kate on June 3rd for a cake for June 30th. I was looking for a Louis Vuitton purse style cake. She emailed me back said no problem the cake would be around $200. I then paid for the cake that day. When I picked up the cake on June 30th it was awful. The pictures don’t put into justice on how bad this cake looked. It was very sloppy and it was actually falling apart while I was on my way home, the fondant was old so it was cracking. I emailed Kate right away about the cake that day and sent photos and I requested for some sort of refund for this cake. She never responded to my email. My mom then called her bakery to explain to them about the cake falling apart and they said we could bring it back so they could “ try” to fix it. We did not have time to do that since the party was that night. On August 25th I had still had no response from Kate. I emailed her telling her how disappointed I was considering that we have been loyal customers for several years and have recommended her to several friends of ours. I then let her know I was going to write this review. She quickly emailed me back saying how I was an awful person if I wrote a bad review for her business. A month later she did eventually give me a refund for the cake, but I will never support her business again. The last 3 cakes including this one were wrong. We kept giving her the benefit of the doubt. She said she’s going to make them herself, but she has other people that don’t know what they are doing do it for her and then lies and says that she did them. The cake we received not only looked awful, but it didn’t taste good either. There was no filling and it was dry like they had backed it a week before. I do not recommend this bakery/ cake shop for anything. They have awful customer service and they don’t care to take the time to give you what you pay for. I should not of been charged $200 for this cake, and I definitely shouldn’t of been ignored or treated the way I was when i reached out about being unsatisfied with what I paid for. Please look at the photos...
Read moreI purchased a birthday cake for my husband and asked for a camo design. When I walked into the bakery and saw my cake in the fridge I new it was going to be ugly. If you look at the photo and underneath the spray paint colors and see how white it is… that is exactly the color of the cake when the girl took it out of the fridge. After she saw my face she asked if it looked ok and I said absolutely not. I said it’s translucent and ugly. She’s like well you ordered camo and continued to box it. I told her I didn’t think so and that cami is also not see thru. I said I didn’t pay $84 dollars for a cake Walmart could’ve made perfect. So she took it bake and another girl came out with it dripping with the food coloring spray. It’s still hideous. Not at all what I wanted. The one girl offered 10% back but $8 wouldn’t even come close to fixing that problem. Tasting wise: I ordered double chocolate cake which was verrryyyyyy dry. The filling was peanut butter which had no taste and didn’t defiantly didn’t taste like peanut butter. We also taste tested the Oreo frosting prior to ordering and it had a weird chemical taste to it so that was a no go for us. My husband and myself took a few bites of our piece of cake and we ended up throwing over 3/4 of the cake in the trash. My kid wouldn’t even eat it. My family and I will not be back. Word to the wise, taste test before you order and make sure to check your cake before they box it and make sure you like it for the amount of...
Read moreI ordered 12 cupcakes for my little sister birthday. The theme she wanted was (my hero academia). The cupcakes looked great. The icing was good and the pictures of the characters were edible. But the cupcakes where all very dry. My sister and I are very disappointed in the texture and flavor of the cupcakes. Honestly store cupcakes would have tasted better. The price was $32 which is okay but for it to be that dry I don’t think so. They should really try a sample of there cupcakes before selling it. Because that was just horrible. On a scale from 0-5 these are my ratings Pictures- 5(the pictures on the characters were amazing) Icing- 4 (these was not pretty decorations on the icing bust plain solid colors, no sprinkles no mixed colors just each cupcake with a solid color) Flavor-0 (there was not flavor) Texture-0 (it was veryyyy dry) Price-3 (for it to be that price it should have tasted better than store cupcakes but it definitely did not) Communication-2 (their tones don’t seem happy they seem like they have an attitude when they talk to customers. They tell you to text them through messenger which don’t seem professional.)
Would I ever come back- 2
I hope they work on their skills with communication, professionalism, and baking. Besides that they’re cake (LOOK NICE) but the taste and texture (NEEDS A LOT OF WORK). Please make yourselves sample cupcakes before selling customers cupcakes so you’d know what the cupcake needs...
