July/8/2025My hubby and I went for an early dinner. The server Stephan was outstanding. Food was good except for our loaded fries. They fries tasted stale and the pork overcooked. Our burgers were excellent and Brussel Sprouts and onion rings were cooked properly and tasted delicious. Very good evening for us.
UPDATE. 8/29/2024 Over the past year we have been back to Stack a dozen times and the food and service has been on par ever single time. Absolutely no complaints.
However last night my husband a d I came in for dinner and the service was horrible. We were seated and forgot about for 15 minutes, no water nothing. We were not the only ones, it was pretty bad. When we did get to place an order the waitress recommend the Huckleberry smash but could not tell me what was in it. She again left and came back with the list if ingredients. I ordered it and it was awful and I couldn't drink it so, I ordered what I usually drink. Anyways after she took our order, still no water, we waited forever for our food. We did have the bartender, whom I ordered my drink from, and another waiter check on us and make sure we had been helped. Food finally was brought out we has fried green tomatoes and Brussel Sprouts and they were delicious. I had not tried the Brussel Sprouts appetizer before and I was very happy with my choice, our burgers were juicy and everything was delicious with the exception of my onion rings there was way touch batter on them. We got done eating and waited forever for the check. The waitress noticed I didn't drink the Huckleberry Smah and offered to take it off the bill and I said sure. She took our payment and brought back the receipt with the drink still on it. My husband and I gave up and just tipped, way more than we should have. and left. We had been in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. We came in at 4 and left at almost 6. The restaurant was not that busy either. While waiting for my check there was another customer that came in half way through our time there and he ordered his drinks and meal and she never placed his order he waited Forever and she never came back to check on him. Finally he waved down the waiter that was getting ready to leave for the day and that waiter made sure he was taken care of before the waiter went home. As we were walking out another couple was leaving with us and they were very unhappy with the service also. If this is going to be a normal thing now we wont be back.
8/19/23 Manager contacted us apologize for how we were treated and offered us a meal on Stack 571. My husband and I went for dinner tonight and the service was fantastic. We didn't tell them who we were until our check came so there was no influence. Food was good we both tried new burgers and I think I will stick to the Bahn Mi. Alex is an excellent server we have had her wait on us a few times and she never disapoints. Thank you.
Such an interesting evening I had at the Vancouver, WA restaurant this evening. Dining in the restaurant and having to call the restaurant to get our waitress to come to our table is definitely a new experience for me. I wanted a refill on my drink and I was going to order food to go, but she never came back after taking our initial order. Once she did come to our table, she took my plate that still had food on it that I wanted to take home. Read moreUpdate: Ok...we have visited here several times since my review below 5 years ago. The service has declined significantly on each consecutive visit. I initially didn't feel like updating this but after our last 2 visits I felt that I must. The last couple times we have been met with very poor service. Last night we stood at doorway waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes with no acknowledgement of us even being there. Even to the point my wife walked into the dining area to see if we could get someone's attention. Finally we were greeted and seated. It took another 5 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server. Eventually our order was placed and food and alcohol drinks came out. However, the one non alcohol(pepsi) drink did not. We ate our food and had our drinks. I was waiting for the server to come by to remind her about my Pepsi...However, she did not check on us until our meals were finished. The Pepsi was brought at the same time our check for our finished meal came.. I said nothing. I just left the Pepsi untouched on the table because this was ridiculous and paid the bill. I thought maybe...just maybe the server would realize that bringing the soda 15 minutes after the food was served was a mistake because she forgot it and she would remove it from the tab. Nope. She didn't. So I paid the tab, left a 10% tip to reflect the crappy service and left. My impression after my last few visits of poor service is that they run on a short staff. We were joking that we don't come here for the service anymore because that's gone out the window. We are simply there for the food. But after last night I think we are done here. The food is good but the service is so poor that it really detracts from the dining experience. If this were a one off experience I would not even be updating this review. But this has been the past few times we have visited. Of you go, be prepared for good food, great music and terribly under staffed service.

Read moreI genuinely love this place, but am upset to say that it has decreased on our ranking of burger restaurants. My boyfriend and I ordered take out, one three pepper bomb (with onion rings), and one Caprese burger (with waffle fries). I asked beforehand if they still had the caprese burger, because it’s my fav but I know it has been taken off and put back on the menu a couple times. The server may have misheard me, but she confirmed that they still had it.
When I went to pick it up and taken to the to go bar, the server had asked if everything was right and placed the receipt down. I looked and everything was correct, except she had rung me up for a caprese grilled cheese. I mentioned I asked for the caprese burger, in which she said they don’t have a caprese burger. Totally ok, now I know it is off the menu, but when I asked to change it to a regular 571 burger, she looks behind the bar adjacent to the kitchen, and just says “well they already made it”. Ok, but it’s not what I intended to receive ??? Maybe we ordered too late, at 7:40 PM, but I agreed for them to just put a patty on it, which made my total way higher than the quality we received. We then waited further, just for a male server to had it to me like we were still inconveniencing them for the food we paid for.
My boyfriend’s onion rings were burnt, pictured below. He couldn’t eat burnt onion rings, my fries and burger was cold and soggy. We live 5 minutes away and things do not get cold after a 10 minute time difference between hand off and putting it on a plate at home to eat.
I really don’t love going to a place and being treated as an inconvenience, when that is the last thing that I ever want and hear complaints about as a fellow customer service worker. But for how expensive this, I don’t want to go back. My boyfriend was treated horribly by the servers at the to go bar before, so are we a nuisance because we ordered to go?
