What happened was, I ordered two Thai teas. However, for the same price, the size is significantly smaller than what I ordered two days ago, two weeks ago and three weeks ago. The best part is, when I called them asking for a reason. The employee trying to lie to me that the Thai tea were different from previous ones I ordered. Then, I said there is no option in the menu for the Thai tea. She instantly changed her excuses to the larger size is only for the fountain drink, the previous time I ordered must have given me wrong cup. She wish I would believe that. I ordered four times from this restaurant already. Do not tell me that they made mistakes on the size of the drinks four times in a row. This is ridiculous that she keeps trying to lie to me. I wish she just honestly said that they did change the cup size and I would expect next time I order would receive the same small size of the Thai tea.

I found a rock in my food. I brought the rock back in person and they said “ok, that’s weird” I said “I ordered on postmates and they said “you’ll have to get a refund from them”. That’s fine and all but they didn’t even apologize, acted like I was lying and sincerely didn’t care at all. It came off as if I was now the rude customer, how dare I tell them a rock was in my food? No remorse or anything. This was a month ago. I have been going here for over 16 years - food is always pretty mediocre, never spicy enough and lately the quality has been sliding downhill. Along with the small portion sizes and very little protein they give you when you order meat. I haven’t been back since and I won’t be returning.

Small portions for price paid, to go containers only filled half-way to 2/3rds full. Ordered with chicken which tasted off and was very dry. The pad thai was aweful! It tasted like catchup and nothing else and had 4 tiny strips of chicken which normally would be a big issue but with the chicken tasting off it was probably for the best. The prices definitely not worth what you get. Canned peas, dried mushrooms, substandard ingredients... the decore is lovely but it doesn't make up for the food or service. There were only 4 groups of about 2 & 4 people each and the restaurant was having a hard time keeping the tickets straight. Avoid if you enjoy authentic Thai & Lao cusine and want to keep it that way.

The worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

My coworker called ahead and made a reservation + ordered ahead for 4 of my other coworkers, then informed the employee on the phone that a couple more people would be calling in a bit later to put in their orders, and that they were also part of our group (6 people total). NOTE: The owner of the restaurant had previously told my coworker that calling and ordering ahead of time was definitely acceptable, since time can get a bit tight on our lunch break and we did not want to get stuck in a risky lunch rush. So, I called in about an hour prior to our reservation and attempted to place my order, letting them know I was part of the reservation for 6. “Are you sure? I’ve already received all of the orders for that group,” the employee told me. I calmly explained, “My coworker informed you that I’d be calling my order in separately, but I am part of that group.” She then flat out REFUSED to take my order, saying she needed confirmation from my coworker who originally made the reservation, as if I did not know what I was talking about. I genuinely could not believe it.

So, I decided to tag along with my other 5 coworkers who were actually able to put in their orders. We arrived at the restaurant to find a table with 5 chairs and their food sitting out in the open, unsupervised...which seems totally unsanitary and pretty risky to me?? The waitress/hostess saw we arrived but did not bother to assist or acknowledge us in any way. We had to drag a chair over from another table so I could sit. She did not offer me a menu, but instead flat out ignored me. We had to beg for her to bring us water and silverware, which took her 15 minutes to bring even though the restaurant was not busy. You’d never guess how many waters she brought over...(A: 5). We also asked for an extra plate and my coworkers piled bits of their food onto my plate—much to the waitress’s surprise/dismay.

I know people have bad days, and I try to overlook a bad customer service experience or two...but this was just laughable. I remained cordial throughout in hopes that they would apologize or at least try to make up for their horrendous service. No such luck.

Will never even attempt to eat (or, sit) in this...

Sorry...Sorry...I used to come her for lunch and/or dinner whenever I was in town for business. People told me to go to Thai Orchid, but I said "No", I like the place by the Hilton. I guess I should have listened to the negative reviews and the recommendations of others. .

Ambiance: This place is the same, but really loud. There was only one other group in the restaurant at the time I came in. They were talking in normal voices, but their voices just carried. Should consider headphones next time (Not). Cramp dining room. Feel like you are on top of each other, even though there was only one group in the room. Tables did not seem to be wiped down well. Could see a residue.

Food/Service: Bland and flavorless. The Tiger steak tasted like it was boiled and then seared. No flavor or seasoning, other than some chili sauce. The steak was gray! I wanted a steak, this was not the place for that. I asked if I needed to order a full order of fried rice. The hostess said they could do a half order. About 10 minutes later, she comes back and says they do not do half orders...what? Does she not know what they serve and how its served. She did not seem interested in offering me alternatives. I had to ask if my steak came with steamed rice; she said she thought so? I ended up ordering wings. Wing were OK, but nothing special or reminded me of a Thai experience. Just regular fried wings with a sweet chili dipping sauce. I ordered a Sapporo. Nothing special there. While I was still eating, she asked if she bring me the check. I said I was not done. She then asked if she could take my plates...even though I was still eating with more than half my food left. She also asked if she could bring me my check...I was still eating. I ended up ordering another beer, even though she was trying to have me leave. When she brought my check, she took my water...that I was still planning to drink, but I figured I would give something, so that she could let me finish.

Overall experience: Seriously disappointed in how this place gone down hill. Food is nothing to rave about, service is poor and not well trained on general restaurant service. Noisy and cramped.

Will not return, even though I visit to Vancouver and...
