Asiatique Eatery — Restaurant in Ventura

came for dinner, ordered two different types of ramen, two of their craft drinks (they’re $6+ each) and the mango sticky rice shaved ice. The food was AMAZING, super good value and the portions were huge, so big that neither of us could finish our food. it was our first time there and i have to say i was very annoyed with the service, we were sat for 10 minutes without anyone even taking our drink order, after we ordered our food did come fairly quick which was nice, when we were done with our meal and wanted to order dessert i had to flag down a waitress that wasn’t even ours, again the food came out fairly quickly which was nice, but when time came and we were finished with our food i had to wait another 15 minutes for them to even bring us the check, once they did bring it i paid but it took them again a long time to bring the change and the receipt, food was amazing and i still tipped 20% but they’re severely understaffed. Other than the significant wait time for the bill and order being taken everything was great, i’ll be returning for dinner...

My daughter has been recommending Asiatique for a while so we finally decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. They have so many options it was hard to decide! We started with some edamame and the veggie egg rolls which were delicious. I had the tonkatsu ramen which was rich and flavorful. The pork had a somewhat smoky flavor which was nice. The portion was large and very filling. My husband had the ribeye udon and he loved it. Said it was filled with beef and had lots of flavor. I was excited that they offer shaved ice for desert so we tried the fresh mango and I absolutely loved it! So light and refreshing. My husband doesn’t typically like mango and he loved this. The portion was really big and offered at a great price point especially considering they use so much fresh fruit on it. Next time we will try the strawberry one which looked really good. I can’t believe I’ve never written a review for Asiatique. I first visited around October 2022 and it quickly became my favorite restaurant...by far! I would typically go about once a month when I was in the area or for special occasions like my birthday or anniversaries.

99% of the time, I’d order the Drunken Noodles with tofu, spice level 2. I haven’t found any other restaurant that even comes close. I tried places closer to home to see if anything could compare but nothing ever matched it. The flavor is incredible, the texture is perfect...it’s a dish I take my time with, pay attention to and truly savor.

The staff and owner are incredibly kind and friendly. Every time I went in, the owner remembered what I usually ordered and was always smiling and warm.

Sadly, I moved 400 miles away so I haven’t had this deliciousness in about six months. But when I’m back in the area, this will be the first place...
