They have reasonable prices, great vegan and meat-eater options, fast and friendly service, good serving sizes, a pretty useful rewards card, and incredible chips and salsa. I love it. Go surf, swim, or run and order the fiesta burrito - it's transcendent. I crave Sharky's with a passion at all times. I order two fiesta burritos every time I go. When I decide to go to Sharky's, but it's already after hours, I become genuinely sad. I'm not even exaggerating. Idk why they affect me this abnormally, but all my friends enjoy it as a Ventura classic as well and I'm sure your experience will be pretty solid.
A few times (out of over a hundred) they've given me the incorrect order, so maybe double-check they got it right at the register. And once they seared the tofu in my burrito and I was not a fan. And I remember they can go pretty heavy on the sour cream sometimes, for better or worse. But the other 95% of the time I have always been an extremely happy person during and after my meal.
BUT ONLY THE VENTURA LOCATION I've tried a couple of the other locations and they've never come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhy do they let workers answer the phone if they can't take simple orders? I ordered two burritos today with very ordinary instructions (brown rice, add avocado and salsa verde, hold the cheese) and you'd think I was speaking a foreign language to the guy. He wasn't familiar with the menu at all and after several minutes of excruciating clarification and repetition, he finally seemed to get the picture. 10 minutes later I pick up the burritos and (surprise) nearly every aspect of the order was wrong! He didn't even manage to cut them in half like I asked. You'd think he was doing it on purpose.
Thankfully the manager swooped in and comped the meal with profuse apologies. But honestly I would rather pay for the correct order than half-heartedly accept a botched one. Those ruined burritos aren't worth the frustation (and they actually tasted awful). Don't think I'll be coming back. This whole ordeal has totally soured my opinion of this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't know if it is customary to give customers poor quality food, an order that is subpar to what the managers or owners would consider adequate. I ordered two exact burritos and one was literally half the size of the other. I don't know if two cooks prepare food differently but I pay and generously provide a tip for an order I pick up, I always expect good service and quality. Today I received none of that. Therefore, I won't be returning and giving my business to a restaurant that does not take care of its customers. I will also keep my friends and family from visiting this place as well as I believe they deserve better. I will be supporting smaller businesses that actually care. I suggest you rectify this...
