IHOP — Restaurant in Vernon Hills

We walked in with 3 star expectations and left with 1 star service. ordered a sandwich without tomatoes and a side salad. Salad came with tomatoes and we didn’t know that but weren’t asked if we’d like them on the salad. salad was terrible. Lettuce wasn’t fresh and it was super boring, even for a side salad asked for cheese on our eggs and didn’t get it server took our order and we didn’t see her after that. Not once. Had to ask the manager for drinks and napkins food was warm, not hot silly face pancakes didn’t have a face and my five year old called it out immediately nothing was cleared from our table, not the salad, empty kid drinks or adult drinks. had to bring our food up to checkout to get a box because the service was so bad

Horrible, Yesterday I went to this location for lunch, I ordered Country Fried Stake with mash potatoes and a side salad (salad looked like a bush was cut down and put on a bowl).

When I received what I ordered, I noticed something different on the mash potatoes. They looked weird. Some sort of a oval type shaped, pretty much like a unwrapped tamal.

When I tested it, it was spoiled I almost threw up. I was so mad. I had to ask for more napkins so I could spit it out all of it. I looked for the manager and he never showed up. I asked the waiter how dare for them to serve something spolied.

I went to the bathroom to wash off the taste, and came back, still no sign of the manager. I took off and ate somewhere else. Never coming back to this place. How dare of you serve something spoiled to...

The Ihop in vernon Hills is nice and clean, and has consistant service. While its not "gourmet eating" if you just want the typical pancakes, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs, or breakfast for dinner it will do the trick!

I especially recommend their after 2pm options, as you can get some crazy deals in the afternoon/evenings. Its crazy that you can eat anywhere for 5-7$ anymore.

Also, a few years ago they rolled out IHOP burgers, and to my surprise, the premium burger I ordered was really good. However, I haven't had it since as I prefer breakfast food.
