I had a really bad experience ordering from them through Drizly. Obviously, a big part of the blame falls on Drizly because I was sending a gift order and Drizly incorrectly states on their website that gift recipients will be able to choose what dates they're available to accept the shipment. So the delivery attempt was made without my knowledge or the recipient's knowledge, and the shipment was returned. I contacted the Liquor Barn and an associate told me I would have to place the order again. Then I contacted the delivery company and they said to have it sent to an address where I knew someone would be available 24/7 to sign for the package. And that's all fine. Drizly should have been clearer, but it was an honest mistake so I placed the order again following the instructions from the delivery company. Shortly after, I received an email from Drizly stating that some items in my order were out of stock and I needed to call the Liquor Barn for substitutions. And the experience I had on that call is why I'm leaving this review. I was transferred to a manager after I mentioned the email, and he was very hostile about the situation. He said that due to the "delivery notes" the delivery would not be completed and it would "just be the same thing over again." I asked how I could make it so it does get delivered and he said "it's just not worth it, we already lost $15 on the last order and it's too small of an order to be worth it." He then told me that if I tried to place the order again, he would just cancel it again. Up until that phone call, I had no issues with the Liquor Barn. Most of the frustration throughout this experience came from Drizly. Personally, I think it's on the Liquor Barn to make sure that Drizly isn't allowing people to place orders on which they lose money. But I can cut a small business some slack when they're dealing with multiple providers. I just don't understand why I was met with such hostility as if I had been calling and complaining to them all day, and not just following up on communications and instructions...

Just received a code to save $10 on an order for pickup.
Went to place the order online and the store 4 miles from me isn’t available to pickup at. In fact no stores show up.
I called the store and talked to Steven in Vernon hills - who mentioned that he was unable to find his own store for pick up and then , after we were disconnected and I had to call back, he said his manager told him that they are having issues with the website for placing pick up orders. And all I could do is either come in and buy or order for delivery. I didn’t want to pay $15.00 to have it delivered 4 miles away. I asked if they would honor the $10 off if I came into the store and he quickly said “ No - There’s nothing I can do”
I’ve been hearing more and more complaints about this store. Guess I now know why
Avoid this place. On a Thursday I order from this place using Drizly, after 30 minutes I get a notification that my order has shipped (this place is about 40 minutes from my place) but no tracking number is given, the email said driver will contact me for delivery attempt, after no more communication, no tracking number or call, a delivery attempt was made, I get a voicemail informing me about the failed attempt so I tried to call that number that doesn't work. I tried to contact this place and no one in the store can help, I was given a number that doesn't work because they are closed on weekends, I try to contact the delivery service and they are also closed on weekends, I try to cancel the order but drizly can't since it was already marked as shipped. So onsent an email informing they I will dispute the charge, I get an answer, saying that I should've left a message to the closed on weekends number I was given and that the dispute won't work because they will just charge it again. Terrible customer service and non...
