I went to the Wingstop next door and bought some wings. I decided to go inside this Chinese restaurant and take a look because the sign on the window said they had Wonton soup. I bought the wonton soup and the orange chicken. My receipt was dated 12/08/2024 at 11:43 a.m.. The Wonton soup was okay but not great. I would not go back again for the wonton soup because the vegetables were not bite-size, but rather big chunks that were way oversized and could have been cut into four pieces. The orange chicken tasted like and looked as if it had been left over from 1 or 2 days before and just warmed up. So nothing special about it either. I looked inside the bag and didn't see a spoon so I asked one of the young ladies if I could have a spoon. She said it should already be in the bag and so I looked again and felt around in the bag and didn't feel a spoon, so I told her I didn't see one in the bag. She got me a spoon and dumped it in the bag and turned around and walked away. So I just said thank you. When I got home it turns out she was right and there was a spoon in the bag after all. I wear glasses and I didn't see it and I felt around in the bag and I hadn't felt it. So I ended up with two spoons. No apologies necessary because I was very polite and nice when I asked for the spoon. I don't remember being thanked by the young woman who came to the cash register and rung up my order, but I'm not sure if she said thank you or not. I am a black man and I wonder if my color had anything to do with the interactions. The young ladies didn't give me the feeling that I was not welcome, but I just kind of felt like maybe they had been mistreated by some other Afro-American slash Black customers or something and were maybe a little short with me perhaps. Overall, the three young ladies I interacted with were nice enough and professional enough, so they are not the reason that I probably won't go back. It's just the food was not as expected. There were other items on the menu that I would like to try but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to go back to this restaurant. I'm not telling others not to go and I hope others have a better experience than I did. But as for me personally, my recommendation to myself is probably not to go back. But you never know, I may end up giving them another try in the future. I just feel like at least some of the $14.84 including a $1.80 tip I spent was wasted especially on the orange chicken. The one-star rating is mostly for the food as that is the main...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at Golden Chopsticks that I feel compelled to share. After spending $40 on a takeout order just an hour ago, I was shocked to find that the food had spoiled and was inedible. I’ve never encountered food that goes bad so quickly!
Not only was the food unappetizing, but it also appeared old and greasy. I had high hopes for a satisfying meal, but instead, I found myself dealing with severe stomach cramps, a headache, and night sweats—classic signs of food poisoning. It’s hard to imagine how sick I could have been if I had actually eaten that food.
To make matters worse, when I returned to the restaurant to address the issue, the Chinese lady at the counter was incredibly rude. Instead of showing concern for my experience, she simply looked at me and insisted that I "eat it," I told her this was very bad. She gave me 4 to 5 pieces of orange chicken.. This lack of customer service and care for food safety is unacceptable, especially considering the money I spent.
Overall, my experience at Golden Chopsticks was not only disappointing but also concerning for my health. I would not recommend dining here unless you want to risk food poisoning and encounter poor customer service. There are plenty of other restaurants that prioritize both quality food and customer satisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and...

I worked here for 3 days.on my second day there was a problem with the roof and it was leaking water and falling into the food especially the cream cheese wontons.they don't train.the male owner shoved me with his arm to serve a customer I was already serving so hard to the point where the customer and I made eye contact and quietly questioned what just happened(no line btw).AND WORST OF ALL THEY DONT PAYon my last day the male owner said he would text me for my next shift...never happened.okay.i shoot them a text nothing not even about pay for my 15 hours worked (no break and no lunch btw).I gave them sometime to mail it to me but a week and a half passed by and nothing.i go to the restaurant and they give me $160 for 15hours...the female owner then tells me that these 3 days were a "test" and the flat rate was 160.thats illegal...and those 3 days were NEVER mentioned once.not on the job listing, not on the employee hire paper I signed, not even verbally.after telling her that she then proceeds to get more money from the register.I truly hope every permanent employee is calculating their checks because they obviously have no problem with illegal...
