I went into the the restraunt during a break at work for breakfast and when i approached the counter i was geated very nicely and i returned the same greeting, after taking a second to look over the menu i asked if i could is the restroom, once i asked the same person that was once so curtious to me totally changed and now was very rude and had a look of pure discust on her face. She then looked in my face and asked "nobody els would let you use the bathroom?" i was totally shocked and thought i herd incorectly. Then she repeated "there was no other place around here that you can use the bathroom?" At this point i was in total disbelief of what she said to me and replyed "i intended of buying food after i used the bathroom and washed up". Then she relunctly with an attitude said "its over there". As i was walking to the bathroom the short conversation we shared sank in and i grew more and more offended. I have neaver had an experience like that when going to a restraunt. Im a local AAA tow truck driver that was in full uniform at the time and after being on the road for hours on end all i wanted was to wash my hands and to eat a hot meal. After i washed my hands i wad prepared to express my feelings to who i spoke to with looked like an owner or manager but as soon as i seen her i got a dirty look and decided to eat elswhere and didnt express how she made me feel.
Further more everytime i have time between calls and i stop to sit down and eat i wash my hands everytime before ordering and i would expect to hear if anything "restrooms are for customers only" witch wouldent have been a problem but that wasnt the case this time.
The atmosphere wad beutiful and i bet the food is delicious but the customer service was terrible and i was highly offended.
I pray that this isnt the case but i feel that if i wasnt african american she would have pointed me straight to the bathroom without any hesitation and i would have enjoyed a delicious breakfast from The...
Read moreWhat a delightful young man to have welcome us into this adorable diner on an exhastingly hot Monday afternoon!! I have come to expect little as far as real guest "service" in restaurants these days, especially after 20+ years of providing award-winning restaurant service myself, but this was such that I just had to write a review. A very quaint, very cordial establishment awaits your visit with the most charming and absolutely darling lad to take care of your every need while you enjoy your beautiful and carefully prepared meal. My 2 children and I were just thrilled with everything here and we will definitely be revisiting! Even more, when we got home, we told my husband where we had gone and before we even told him how awesome it was, he knew the place and the server, had been there with some coworkers a few months prior and had wonderful things to say about his...
Read moreStopped in on a whim because I was hungry for breakfast and this place was nearby Home Depot, my next stop. Pros... The food was very good, menu selection good, overall appearance was clean. Only talked with the server and she was very pleasant. Cons... Letter Grade B! After being in business at the same location for five years? Something's wrong. No specials, no discounts for senior or military. No other discounts such as AARP or AAA. Pricey menu items. 5 egg omelet, imho, is too large and an unhealthy amount of cholesterol for one person to consume. We did know this when ordering and so, shared. The hashbrowns and toast were about half the size other restaurants serve. The coffee was hot but it's taste was bland and lacking. Overall... We were pleased but have no plans to return since we found the cost twice as high as say Tam's and the proportions strange...
