To start.. the waiter was not the greatest. Not very attentive and forgot to bring me simple items I asked for like lemon and hot sauce.
The menu was slightly confusing as it offered multiple ways to have your food prepared yet didn't explain what those were. Pictures on the prior page showed meals being served with beans and rice on the side, so I assumed when my meal said it came with beans and rice it would also be on the side. It was in the burrito though. When i asked about my missing sides the waiter brought them fairly quickly. But never explained that half my burrito was beans and rice while the other half was meat. Kinda confusing
Overall the atmosphere was good though a bit over done. Music was too loud so i could hear everyone trying to talk over it. But the star here was the food.! Not to mention the prices were great and the portions as well.!
Food was great and I have no complaints there. I went pretty basic on this order.. kinda my standard go to for checking out a Hispanic restaurant. Steak burrito with onion and cilantro.. or pisca style as they called it. And it was surprisingly good. Meat had lots of flavor. Red sauce was good. Many spicey sauces along with guacamole and sour cream were served Pretty standard with the beans and rice.. would like to have seen some tomatoes or green pepper in the rice. But it was dry and well.. rice. Either way the burrito made up for it.
I didn't see what weekly specials they had.. other than the daily. Would have liked to so I could plan...
Read moreWe parked and attempted to go in through the Econo Lodge. The receptionists pointed us in the direction but the door was locked we told them and walked around to the front of the building. When we arrived and were hit with the smell of dog pee and what smelled slightly of natural gas when we opened the door. There was a gal at the counter and we stood there for 5 to 10 minutes and weren't greeted. As I was about to leave she welcomed us and said to take a seat anywhere and we did. We sat at a booth that was prepped for customers but the table was still dirty. As if the person who cleaned it didn't care. It makes you wonder that if they don't care about the cleanliness of the front of their house then they probably don't care about the food they're serving to guests. We walked out. I've never walked out of a restaurant before. We ended up going to the Italian restaurant down the road, Grazies. I will say that there were people dining at Mi Pueblo and they seemed to be enjoying their food and it certainly looked good but the initial smell as you walk in, the fact we weren't greeted right away, and the cleanliness of the establishment just spells out food poisoning. Sorry, do better or get out of the...
Read moreIf I could leave a negative number, I would. Doesn’t deserve even a 1 star. I have never been treated as poorly as I was at this restaurant. Completely awful service, wrong orders, and the manager should be fired.
Edit to add….staff lied to our faces. We had a huge group they couldn’t accommodate despite calling ahead and them telling us they could. We were there for 45 minutes before our drink order was even taken. 2 hours later our food finally comes out, wrong. Some people never even got their food. I could go on and on about the terribleness, and we never complained the whole time! One family was leaving early and got in an altercation trying to pay their bill - completely separate from the rest of the table. The manager whips out her phone and starts recording the situation rather than trying to resolve it. Manager raised her voice. No one was laughing. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. She then comes over and calls our ENTIRE table racist and says we all have to leave. Note, the family she got into an argument with was Mexican too! Worst experience ever....
