This was my 2nd visit to the Cumberland location, but unfortunately this experience was very disappointing. Had a reservation for 2:30. The hostess didn’t check us in, and just randomly started seating patrons as she saw fit vs honoring reservation times or who arrived first. We were finally seated around 3:05 in the very back of the restaurant across from the kitchen. This is where things got worse. I’m assuming the staff were hot, so they propped open the back door by the soda fountains to let in cool air. It was fine at first, but after 45 mins sitting near the open door, it started to become uncomfortably chilly where we were sitting to the pint we had to put our jackets back on. Not to mention, after we were seated at the table, 20 mins passed before anyone came to greet us or take our order. The hostess walked past our table and saw we hadn’t been serviced yet and she asked another staff member standing close by to take our order. I believe he was one of the food runners from the kitchen. He approached the table and proceeded to tell us that he would be our server temporarily for the next 5-10 mins. He took our food and drink order and left the table. 13 mins went by before our drinks were brought back, then another 10 before he returned with straws. We knew that service would be fairly slow because we were informed that the kitchen was backed up about 30 minutes, so we expected a longer wait. However, we did not see our temporary server for 41 mins from the time he brought the straws back to the table. Since he said he was temporarily our server, I was expecting someone else to come take over the table, but No other server ever came to the table either. When he did finally come back by to check if we were doing ok, I proceeded to tell him no and requested refills on our drinks and inquired about the food. He told us our order should be up soon and went to get the refills. Since we were sitting right by the soda fountain area, we could see him refilling our drinks. He brought the drinks back to the table and mixed up the cups. My friend saw him when he mixed them up at the drink fountain, and we could also tell because I was wearing lipstick and my straw had the lipstick stain on the end. Another 5 mins or so goes by and he brings out complementary beignets to the table due to the long wait. We did not have any silverware, plates, or napkins On the table, so it was hard to eat the peaches with the beignets and we had to get creative. Since the server disappeared again, I had to go to the restroom and wash my hands and bring paper towels back from the restroom to the table. It was now 4:14. Still no food. Around 4:20, the server came to the table to say our food would be up in the next few mins so we got excited. 4:35 still no food, so unfortunately we decided to leave. Before making the decision, we attempted to locate our server, but We could not locate him. We had been at the restaurant 2 hours at this point and had not received our food. One positive that I can take from the dining experience is that everyone was nice, however, that was overshadowed by the very poor service received today from start to finish. I hope that this was just a one time fluke, as my previous experience was 10/10, but today’s experience was very negative and I’m hopeful this review will help facilitate some very necessary changes/training needed for all staff. Especially those working on...
Read moreSo this was my first time coming here my cousin picks the spot because the original spot we were going to was close. She was in town for her birthday, so I let her pick where she wanted to go since the other place was closed upon arriving we were seated ,There was a smell like a sewerage smell Upon entering , I prayed about that situation we were seated we all ordered I ordered the fish and grits and a tower of the mimosas. My daughter ordered a veggie omelette and beignets my cousin order chicken and waffles and a side of sausage moving forward the mimosas were brought to the table. They tasted like communion juice upon me telling the server that she was very feisty and told me about how much liquor she put in there. I said I am not arguing with you about that. I am telling you that the juice is giving me heartburn that’s how much grape juice or whatever juice you have put in the one that I have drunk. She then told me that they will not do a refund I said OK i’m not going to drink something that I do not like she called the manager as the manager told me the same thing and offered to make me another drink. I said OK. The manager did do that she made me two mimosas. I got our food. My food was pretty good usually when I order brunch at a place it comes with two pieces of fish, it came with one, but it was tasty my daughter said her food was good. My cousin said her chicken and waffles was good. The sausages she got she said she didn’t know what they were but she pushed them to the side and was charged seven dollars for two pork sausages that she didn’t even touch because she said they looked disgusting. However, our server never came back over there until I asked for a bill so I guess she was upset about the drink and because they charge automatic gratuity, which I think is a shame because this is the reason why a lot of the serversdon’t do their job but if you settle for $20 when you can make more then I guess it is what it is, but I will not be back even though I enjoy my food. Their service was horrible like I said, she did not come back over there until it was time for the bill and just read off something off of the screen. I asked her can I get a physical bill and then she didn’t come back again the manager came But all I can say is our people need to do better you try to patronize our folks and this...
Read moreIf you're looking for a brunch spot that checks all the boxes—great food, fantastic service, and a vibe that makes you never want to leave—T’s Brunch Bar in Cumberland Mall is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was absolutely on point—elegant, yet laid-back, with an aesthetic that feels both trendy and cozy. The vibe is everything you’d want for a brunch day out.
Our server, Big Z, truly elevated the experience. Her service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt taken care of the entire time. Her energy matched the lively atmosphere of the place, and she was quick to recommend some of the best dishes and drinks on the menu.
We kicked things off with the crab fingers, and wow—these were a game-changer. Perfectly seasoned and served with a flavorful dipping sauce, they were the perfect start to what was an unforgettable meal. For the main course, we went all-in and ordered the red velvet waffle & fried chicken and the lamb chops. Both dishes were absolutely mouthwatering! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired beautifully with the sweet, fluffy red velvet waffle. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, making for an indulgent treat.
The sides were just as incredible! The red beans & rice were flavorful and hearty, and the mac & cheese? Creamy, cheesy perfection that paired perfectly with everything else.
To wash it all down, we tried a few drinks: the passion fruit, the flight of drinks, and the Island Glow. Each one was refreshing, beautifully presented, and packed with delicious flavors. The drinks added an extra touch of fun to our meal, and their vibrant colors definitely made for some great Instagram moments! I must say they were a 10/10. We was definitely lit!
Overall, T’s Brunch Bar exceeded all expectations. It's the perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy amazing food, stellar service, and a lively atmosphere. Big Z made the experience even more special, and I can’t wait to return for more of that red velvet waffle &...
