Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Food — Restaurant in Virginia

Honestly I was excited for this place to open because I kept hearing about it on the Nova foodies page on FB but after trying it I was disappointed.

So I order a Santa Fe burrito under the burrito section and this is what I get. Smothered in red sauce couldn’t even pick it up and eat like a burrito. I had to be fancy and eat a burrito with fork and knife while holding my pinky up to drink my Pepsi through a straw!! I was very upset and was thinking I’ll be getting a good burrito. The chicken was flavorless didn’t even finish my plate. I left it just like that picture I posted below. Honestly I wasn’t impressed at all. Now my wife won’t let me pick a spot for lunch again because she felt nauseous after eating the Las Cruces

Service: the service was good and the lady that brought us the food was good. Asked for more salsa for the tortillas she brought them. Also, the ones behind the counter were nice as well.

One last thing. I found it a bit annoying was how they were blasting music from the kitchen and the dining room had another music playing. Didn’t know which one...

So this location is different then their normal locations in that you walk in the door and you order at the front and you're then seated. They don't come to your table and ask for your order and serve you normally. But they tip like they do. At the front counter. You will be greeted by somebody who takes your order and then wants a 20 to 25% tip on the pre-suggested tip amounts. If somebody's paid as a waiter then they're working for tips. If somebody's paid as a cashier they're normally paid minimum wage or more. Now I have no problem tipping somebody who gives me great service but this is just gouging the customer. I don't know why this is their setup here but it's really annoying. All the other locations are normal restaurants where you walk in and get a table and somebody takes the time to wait on you. My tip came to nearly $5 and all they did was sit me at a table and refill my tail lights. If you're going to run your business like McDonald's, don't...

I have been coming to Anitas since I was 6 yrs old in Vienna, Anita used to sponsored our little league team. We used to go to the little shop on Maple Ave before they built the bigger one down the street but Ever since she passed away it has been down hill from there... I don't know what is going on but the BB special used to taste good and was always made the same....today I ordered 10 BB specials, they came with little to no red chili and no cheese.... WHAT? THATS NOT A BB special... and he got ride of the carry out small pizzas.... WHY?? and for the record this has happened to me all the time at different locations. The cooks used to follow the same method or were actually good at cooking.. I don't know what happened to the quality of Anitas but she would not be happ.. because she focused on quality not how much of a profit can I get... please fix this before...
