I was honestly super excited to see a CAVA right next to my gate as I had recently moved to a place that didn’t have any nearby to go to. I walked up to the counter since there were no other people in line and the three CAVA employees were chatting amongst themselves, which I didn’t mind until I was standing there for quite sometime not being helped. After about a minute and after their conversation was over, one of the employees came to help get my order started. Not sure if CAVA changed their portion sizes but it definitely smaller than I remembered. I got a falafel greens and grain bowl and unfortunately the falafel was dry and tasted off to me. The yogurt dill sauce saved it in my opinion so at least that.

hen the line is long, it's usually a good sign. Cava Mezze made waiting for our delayed flight a delightful experience. We had a mix of their braised lamb and spicy lamb meatball in a rice-lentils based bowl. It was so goo that we had to go back for seconds. It wasn't cheap (around $16 a pop when you include a drink) but it was worth it. As a matter of fact, this is probably the best middle-eastern fare we've ever had, even better than much fancier sit-down restaurants. I'm just disappointed they haven't found their way to Atlanta yet... Low note: I found the staff kind of rude...but again, that's usually a predictor of good food

2.5 stars. Rude customer service and small portion sizes (particularly the base of rice and salad). I had been wanting to try this place for a very long time, but the employees just assumed I had been there before and didn’t offer any help. The food itself was visually very appealing and the flavor was there. The ingredients were a little too salty for me but good quality overall. However, the biggest issue is portion size… despite the nice presentation in the photo, it was not worth $15 and I will probably be hungry again in 3-4 hours. Was not worth forgoing my Priority Pass benefits.

Literally walked away after I asked multiple times for the worker to change their gloves because I have a food sensitivity to avocado and she went to slice an entire avocado and had it all over her gloves. Then a man came back picked up someone else’s bowl with his thumb in it with avocado, and proceeded to touch my chips. I explained I was allergic and if he could change the chips and he just blankly looked at me. After repeating myself five times he nodded and started to pack my food anyway. I get they might not be able to accommodate allergies completely but at least say so or properly change your gloves as requested.

I ended up saying “please forget about it, I’m not risking my discomfort” and started walking away and the woman started to yell after me. I felt bad and embarrassed but there’s no way I’m paying for food that will give me allergic reactions.

On top of that, the customer in front of me had to repeatedly tell them my bowl was not hers and she had to tell the workers multiple times that they were not doing something correctly. Every other time I’ve stopped by has been inconsistent. Most times the food barely fills...

Cava is great. This location (DCA) is horrible. The employees are so rude and incompetent every single time I go there (which is a lot). It's possible to rush without being rude and sloppy. I can't even enjoy the food here because the staff don't listen and they screw everything up. One example is that in her frantic rush (when there was barely a line), the woman put only the tiniest squirt of dressing on my bowl. Where did she put it? Directly on top of the hummus and tzatziki, because of course that's where I want dressing. Slams the lid on and walks away before I can say anything. I ask the next guy who comes over if I can please get a little more dressing and before I can even say "on the side" he opens the lid and squeezes a TON of dressing on my bowl, ruining it (although it's already ruined because a guy earlier gave me rice instead of the lentils I asked for and I couldn't be bothered to correct it). Slams the lid on. Rings me in and walks away without saying a word. I just take my own receipt and walk away. This is typical. They are...

I was a first timer and went from terminal A, flying SW airlines, because I saw great reviews for this restaurant. The staff was very patient and let me try several items and I made this massive combo bowl that I did not stir up or anything..... The flavors blended soooooo good. As I ate through it, the flavor combinations kept changing and delighting me over and over! Evidently it hypnotized me as I walked off with my laptop against the table leg instead of in my bag. Discovered my issue at security for terminal A, but it was too late....I was the last flight and the Cava closed and security would not let me back in at B. The staff found my computer and returned it to me safe and sound. I was overwhelmed by their helpfulness! So the moral of this story is to hold on to your belongings and enjoy some wonderfully delicious food at the best prices in the airport. Because this place will blow your mind. Its fantastic all the way around. Clean, fresh, friendly, affordable, fast,...
