11/07/23 Panhandler alert. A guy asking customers for money has a table set up right by the Chipotle entrance. Some charity or something but it is just the same as panhandling.

Update - I got a great response from customer service. My faith in Chipotle is restored!
6/2/23 -The last two times I've ordered online for Chipotle Merchant Plaza I've noticed the rice portion was pathetically skimpy despite selecting the "extra rice" option. So today I ordered in person and discovered Chipotle is now charging for extra rice.
Since online ordering does not allow them to charge for extra rice, I suspect Chipotle Merchant Plaza turns online "extra rice" orders into "skimpy rice" orders against the customer's expressed wishes.
When I asked Chipotle Merchant Plaza why I had been charged for a side today, the cashier (who was not wearing a name tag) told me the charge was for "extra rice". When I asked when charging for extra rice started, the cashier told me that Chipotle Merchant Plaza has always charged for extra rice. This is not true. I told the cashier I had been a customer for years and had never been charged for extra rice. Again, the nameless cashier said Chipotle always charged for extra rice.
I left Chipotle Merchant Plaza dumbfounded. The word "gaslighting" did not dawn on me until I got to my car. "Gaslighting" is a form of manipulation that tries to make the victim doubt their own version of events.
I've been visiting the Merchant Plaza Chipotle for at least 5 years and I know they don't charge for extra rice. I looked back through my past receipts to make sure. If Chipotle Merchant Plaza needs to raise their prices, just raise prices. Please don't lie to my face and gaslight me.
See two receipt screenshots dated 6/2/23.
7/26/23 - I hate it that Chipotle at Merchant Plaza allows vendors to harass their customers. It's just as bad as panhandlers imho. Vendors patrolling both entrances so customers cannot avoid them. I received unwanted attention both when I entered to pick up my order and when I exited. 7//26/22 at 12:25 pm.

Read moreI am employed at Lake Ridge Auto Care, located across the street. We arranged a catering order two days prior to ensure that our order for 20 people at 6:30pm would be prepared on time. I dispatched a staff member to arrive early and inform the restaurant that we were waiting for our food. Despite being informed that the food would be ready in 20 minutes, 7pm arrived and we were still without our order. The individual has now been inside Chipotle for approximately 40 minutes. At 7:15pm, I made a call to a chipotle representative in order to inquire about our order. The representative informed me that she is a third party and advised me to contact the store manager directly. Unfortunately, my attempts to reach the store manager via phone were unsuccessful, so I made the decision to personally visit the store and speak with the manager in person. Upon arrival, I was informed that the manager was currently occupied with preparing our order and therefore unavailable. When I inquired about the estimated time of completion, I was informed that it would take an additional 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes had passed, I once again asked about the status of our order. To summarize, we finally received our order at 7:45pm, and the manager informed me that there was nothing she could do to address the inconvenience we had experienced, suggesting that I contact corporate instead. Consequently, I will be taking the necessary steps to reach out to corporate regarding this matter. It is perplexing to me why the manager was unable to accommodate the inconvenience caused by the delay in our order. As a result, the 20 individuals we had to feed began their training session without having eaten, and unfortunately had to consume their meals during our meeting to ensure we did not exceed our allotted time until 10pm. We frequently spend money, particularly when we hold our meetings, which is conveniently within walking distance. This entire experience has been extremely...
Read moreI walked in to order my food for my family and I today. I recently started walking in to order because you can’t order online from this location since they always mess it up too. I had ordered two bowls with warm rice, warm black beans, tomatoes, corn, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. One of the bowls had chicken and Guacamole and the other one was with carne asada, to be honest by far the nastiest carne asada I have ever tried and worst part it was served cold. I also had ordered two kids meals. One was with cheese quesadilla and sides of double cheese and chicken. The manager was supposedly helping her staff today but when I had asked with a (please and thank you) to put the items in one of the kids meal she completely ignored me and moved to the next person when all I had asked was for extra cheese so no it didn’t include it. On to the other kids meal was soft tacos and I asked nicely with double chicken and (the manager) seemed frustrated because that it’s when she realized she ran out on her container and had to go to the back to get a new container with more chicken which she just threw in my kids tray. At this point I just wanted to leave. So after that I get to the check out, I was asked by the cashier if I wanted chips or fruits for my kids meals and I stated chips for both. Well he only had one kids chips bag and he said he didn’t have anymore so I asked him if I could have just one regular chip bag for both meals and he said it’s extra. So I said ok I’ll pay anything that it’s extra but I didn’t see why I had to pay for chips that are included in these two kids meals. Honestly I don’t like to get argumentative with fast food employees because it’s a lot they deal with in a fast paced environment but it was all so simple for the little things I asked, nothing out the ordinary. I was very disappointed. My Carne Asada bowl was the worst. I ended up paying $47 for all of this and the extra things they charged me. SMH....
