Bad restaurant, bad experience
I have been visiting this restaurant from past few of months and I strongly believe the quality of the food is degrading each day; I guess because of the business they are getting, they might have stopped worrying about quality of the food.
At first I felt the food was delicious and after several To-Go’s, I thought of taking my family there for dinner and luckily my brother was in town with family.. so 4 of us with 2 kids went there for dinner..
Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes to be greeted and seated. Finally we were greeted and we settled at a booth (the biggest booth they have got). After long 20 minutes and several hard hand gestures to attract someone's attention just to place an order, I had to personally walk to the desk to get some help. Surprisingly people came after us ordered their food (couple of tables got their starters as well). Finally, head waiter (I guess that’s what he is based on his outfit) walked with me to the table to take the order. He is not even bothered that we waited for 20 minutes to get some attention and he mechanically taken the food order (as we don’t want to get any additional flavors on our food, we were quite). That was my first bad experience at this place and we're lucky that food was not that bad.
I thought people there were having a bad day and that’s why they didn’t treated us well.. so I was there again this Sunday for an afternoon weekend buffet with my family and I couldn’t believe what I witnessed.. we were there around 1.30 PM (they are supposed to have buffet from 11-3) but there was nothing left in any of the bowls and its taking them at least 30 minutes to refill any of the items. Here are the items they have
Chicken Biryani (I was there for an hour and I saw only one refill and people are literally waiting for it.. so gone in 5 mins) Chicken Curry (I know its name because its labeled as so), Goat Curry (with no pieces), Chicken Tandoori (I wonder if anyone got any.. always empty), Bowl full of Fish Fry (with nasty oil smell), White Rice Bendi Fry Vankaya Curry Nann (with refill at least 20 minutes interval)
I think, the food and the service was so bad that I am not going to this place anymore; no food, no napkins (you have to go to front desk to get a napkin and you get only 2 per head; I think they are all from Dollar tree store based on their quality). They moved the mouth freshener to cashier’s table so that they can watch how much you are having :)
I already forwarded this review to at least 50 Indian families nearby and I am sure they are forwarding it to all their contacts as well..
Oh.. forgot to mention, they even charged the kids meal to my just turned 4 year old son.. I am glad that my 1 year old was sleeping otherwise I might have ended up paying for him...

Read moreWent for dinner last night and and the it was absolutely pathetic. First hint of this is going to be a bad night; only one table of two people were having dinner when we arrived on Friday night at 7 PM. Second, while ordering, all the main dishes, for example " Dum Biryani" were not available. Even while ordering, it seemed like the server/host were bothered by my presence. Third hint, the soup (hot and sour chicken) was bad. I mean..it sucked! Had over cooked noodles. Third hint, the appetizer (chicken lollipop) were not fresh and full of chicken fat. Then came the main course ( Hyderabad Chicken Karahai, Mutton Korma and Chicken Biryani boneless). So....the Hyderabad Chicken was under cook, with yellow curry....tasted awful. The Mutton (Goat) Korma....get this..had raw, and smelling meat. I mean..this must be qualify as a violation of the health code, so I am hoping the city food inspector pays a visit...cause this certainly was the dish that really got me super upset. Finally..the "famous" Chicken Biryani, was warmed via microwave and clearly was not fresh. I am guessing two days old. Served with a cold boiled egg because ...get this..the server told it is a "compliance" issue. I could not believe my ears with the blaitant incompetence and lying....lol, becuase I think he should be more worried about the raw, undercook meat that was being served as far as compliance is concerned. So, sad thing is, I have ordered a few times, home delivery from Bawarchi Kictchen, and the food was great. Given that experience, I thought I should dine in and have the same good food, but that did not happen. Although, the server never charged for the dinner, as I was super mad, I still wanted to write this review so I hope the management can get thier act together. But for now, definitely, go at your own risk as I would highly NOT...
