I called ahead today before I drove there to check if they were still honoring birthday rewards and the boy on the phone said yes and to just bring my id. The lady at the counter stared at my id for a minute then said what do you want. When I asked her if she could put the lettuce and onions on the side she told me no I can’t do that. She asked if I wanted the combo I said no, just whatever comes with the rewards and she told me I had to buy something. I asked are you sure it didn’t mention that online and she says you have to buy something or you can’t use the reward. I get a drink and she enters in my phone number and then tells me there’s nothing there. I say I joined the rewards program last year and I was just trying to get my reward for my birthday and mentioned that she had already checked my id. She just stared at me and repeated its not there. If she was less rude and condescending in the manner that she spoke to me I would’ve been more understanding. Drove down the street to another firehouse subs after this and they honored the reward with no purchase necessary and no issues whatsoever. Read moreIf I could this specific location a 0 star I would. Today I went to this Firehouse location asking to redeem my free birthday sub the day before my actual birthday. The app said that it would still redeem the offer, so I asked the lady at the cash register. I assumed she was the manager or even owner. When I asked her to please redeem the offer, she asked for a form of ID and then immediately rejected my request, simply because it was 1 day before my birthday. I asked her to at least try to enter the code (my phone number) to redeem, and she PURPOSELY entered my phone number wrong. I know this because I asked her to read back my phone number after she told me it didn’t work, and she got the last digit wrong 😂. Then she smirked and entered in the number wrong again just so I could not get the reward. This level pettiness is absolutely mind blowing and pathetic considering how it was not that serious of a situation to not let me redeem a birthday sub. Horrible customer service. Read moreI've traveled around the country and Firehouse Subs has been consistently good. So imagine my surprise when I came to this one. The first problem was that there are a bunch of tables placed in front of the register so that I had to reach across them to run my card. I have trouble with my back, so this was actually painful. Still, that wouldn't have been such a big deal if it weren't for what came next.
When I got home, I immediately started eating. I was hungry. The sandwich tasted wonderful, just as I'd expected it would. I bought the large size and wolfed down the first half quickly. Loved every bite. And then I started on the second half. A few bites in, I discovered a long piece of plastic string inside the sandwich.
