Pros: Good beer selection, great food choices, great atmosphere, pool/darts, handmade deserts, service Cons: Service could be a touch better, nothing else really worth mentioning, service could be a little better
The Bungalow Alehouse…”Bungalow”…”Alehouse”…”Bale”, ok no one calls it Bale, but regardless, whatever you call it, it shouts good times. This is the place for “Usuals”, “Happy Hour Goers”, and those with a case of the Mondays. Beer, wings, pool tables, dart boards, great food, and excellent service. I’ve been several times, whether with my wife or a group of friends, we’ve always had a good time.
Being a Alehouse I will lead with the selection of beer. You’ve got a good selection of stouts, ales, wheats, and lagers, about 25 different beers. I wouldn’t say a lot of them are significantly great and different. Although, my opinion doesn’t count because I’m not a huge beer drinker…yeah, I’m that guy.
The food has always been pretty good. They just redid the menu awhile back. Expect your usual bar foods with a little added quality. I’m not sure what it is with Alehouses trying to go above and beyond for food but I like the effort. I’m a big fan of the wings and all of the sauces. I have to give them props for the deserts, all are handmade daily and switch out regularly.
Service has always been pretty good. A group of us have come there 10+ times but sadly they never seem to remember us. I guess that is my own personal standard, if you go more than 5 times and on a schedule, they should remember your name or drink…like Cheers.
Prices aren’t that bad, you can get some good deals on drinks and occasionally the food. You have deals throughout the week, ladies night with skinny and well drinks. Wing Wednesdays are great, you can get them half off for 10 wings plus half off on beer flights.
This place has a wide variety of things to do, from pool, darts, and TVs with every sport up on them. There are a few pool tables, 4 I think, I have yet to play but have seen them from the restaurant and they usually seem full. They have 5 dart boards in the bar area but they are never full. The place has TVs throughout the restaurant with a wide variety of sports, and if I was a huge sports fan, I would probably choose to come here over a few other places that offer the same luxury.
Overall a great hangout with friends or even a casual place for a date. Whether you sit in the bar or dining room you’ll have good service and a great atmosphere. Not the greatest place to bring kids but you’ll feel like a kid with all the fun you’ll have. I couldn’t give it the full five due to nothing really stands out above and beyond but they make the effort which is what...
Read more12/24/2026 My family and I did a Christmas eve brunch at this location where we occupied the family room that holds 20. Staff was nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, they couldn't stream the Washington Commanders game to that room due to Direct TV and having legal issues with CBS so we understood. Our server was named Lisa. She was great for the most part but seemed overwhelmed with serving our group of 16 people at one time. She did a good job of showing a fake smile while I know she was irritated from being overwhelmed. I did notice that she was also serving other tables outside of our group of 16. That just meant to us that she wasn't dedicated to our group which caused some mistakes. The food wasn't quite what we expected. There were mistakes from the kitchen where the orders were not filled correctly. The pancakes were big but very dry. They even gave one small container of syrup for 2 big pancakes. I had to ask for more syrup. The syrup seemed like it sat because it had a film when poured out onto the pancakes. Other staff helped our server Lisa with serving. Beatrice, in particular was the total professional where nothing seemed to bother her. She was accommodating where Lisa couldn't be. She even agreed to take a picture of our group even when Lisa promised to do so but disappeared for long periods of time. Despite this, we made our family Christmas Brunch gathering enjoyable.
=October 2026= Made a reservation for 12 people a couple weeks ahead. I even called a couple days prior to my reservation to double confirm the reservation for the day and time that I wanted. When arrived on the day of my reservation, there was a young man as the host who could not mentally process that I had a reservation for 12 so he had to go get the manager on duty and he too asked me if I had a reservation. For the 2nd time, I said yes and gave my name. After they finally confirmed my reservation, we were given a private room to use for our party of 12 which was awesome. Our server Malaysia was awesome, patient, personable and on point with her service. My party of 12 enjoyed the restaurant, the private room and the food to my pleasant surprise. I always drive by this restaurant but never been in there until this first trip there. I must say, the party of 12 was a success and our customer experience ended up being...
Read moreLiterally just had the worst experience of my life here. I asked a female bartender for a drink then she proceeded to give everyone else drinks for like 30mins no exaggeration, then I'm starting to get fustrated because people who ordered drinks after me received there drink but still not me. I then asked her could I get my drink? She said I didn't ask for a drink I just asked if they had it smh. I told her no I asked for the drink and I asked for it a long time ago. She then told me she wouldn't serve me and that I had to ask another bartender to serve me. I told her she was rude then went to the other bartender. I asked him for a drink. He also did not serve me but served plenty of people after me who all received there drinks. Not only am I black and a female but I'm a young, black female. This type of behavior would have never been displayed on an older person but it seems like because I was indeed a young, black female that this could happen to me all while I'm being courteous and respectful and patient towards the bartenders. It's such a darn shame. I then spoke to the manager and told him the situation. Mind you I'm not drunk or anything because nobody would give me a drink. The manager does nothing says nothing and acts like he's in disbelief. He had no explanation for this woman and male bartender that he hired behavior. He didn't talk to them or even acknowledge my frustrations he instead went about his business as if i hadn't just discussed a highly disturbing altercation within his restaurant. This was my first ever experience as being racially discriminated. Yes the bartenders were white and they refused to serve me a young,...
