The online order system is horrendous. They are either severely understaffed, under-trained, or under-managed.
We placed an order at 8:45 this morning to pick up when we got to the drive-thru. However, it took us 20 minutes just for us to get to the order window. 2-3 cars before us pulled out of line because the wait had backed up so much.
Unfortunately, because we had already ordered online, we felt stuck. However, as soon as we got to the pickup window and told them we were picking up an online order. They didn't even seem to know online orders existed, let alone how to handle them.
As soon as we got to the order/pickup window, which at this point had been another 20 minutes, they told us to pull up past the window– apparently they hadn't even started making our order yet, despite being order 40 minutes ago.
At this point, we didn't trust that our order wouldn't take another 20 minutes, so we asked to have our order refunded so we can go elsewhere, to which the person responded that they were incapable of doing that at all, even though we were using their ordering system. After speaking to another person pushing for us to wait for our food, we ended up just leaving.
To make matters worse, we tried calling the restaurant and corporate office to try and get our refund, and there was no answer. There wasn't even a corporate contact number available.
I'm not sure whether the online ordering trouble was just a fluke or not, but I am aware that the breakfast drive thru line is a 15-20 minute commitment in the very least. Hardee's breakfast is...
Read moreI recently visited Hardee’s with my sister and my baby nephew, and while the food was overall very good, the customer service experience was concerning. There were only two employees working at the time, and one of them—an older Black woman—seemed to be having a rough day. She was openly expressing frustration about being short-staffed, saying she didn’t want to “kill herself working for everyone else.” Unfortunately, this was said loudly in front of customers, which caused some people in line behind me to leave. She also spoke rather sharply to drive-thru customers. I truly believe she needed a moment to step into the back and compose herself.
That said, I don’t necessarily fault her alone—Hardee’s management needs to step in when employees are short-staffed, provide support, and ensure these kinds of situations are handled behind the scenes. It’s better for both employee well-being and customer experience. God bless her, and I hope she’s doing better now.
As for the food, it was delicious. I ordered a steak biscuit and so did my sister, since it was her first time trying Hardee’s. We also got hash brown rounds, and everything was cooked fresh. The only downside was the hash browns tasted like they’d been fried in oil that needed to be changed—it had that “overused” flavor. Fresh oil would have made them perfect.
All in all, I’d rate the food highly, but the location could benefit from more staff support, better oil maintenance, and making sure customer interactions...
Read moreWent to this location today, bought 2 double sliders and 1 1/4 Mush Swiss at 4:12pm. I went through the drive thru, initially they tried to say I owed $8.10, but I had to remind em what I ordered and the guy tried to tell me what I ordered but I had to assure him otherwise, the price was finally reduced to $5.79 with tax. Drive thru was fast, so after I got it I went and parked in their lot and immediately went to eat . Upon eating the two Charbroiled sliders I noticed a big change in taste and quality. I went from drive thru to park to eat, and during that short span if time, noticed my both Charbroiled were barely even warm, they was more cold than anything so I know these patties was made waaaaay in advance before I even got there. You can tell if something was made to order as the burger will be more juice and hot where you can see steam come from it with each bite. These two wasn't even like that, the burger was cold/ barely like warm, dry, and did not have a great taste as the Hardees location next to Putt Putt Golfing Games. Other than that the mushroom swiss was better but they gave me a bigger size patty than what it normally comes on but I have no complaints there. Otherwise I advise going to the one near Putt Putt Golfing Games on Midlothian. They might be slow but atleast their food is made to...
