My second visit to Mezeh will be my last for a long time. The reason? The dining room was filthy. I stopped by for a late lunch at 3:15 on a weekday afternoon. When I walked in, I was the only customer. Only two others came in during my visit. Thus, the restaurant was not busy. The restaurant was also empty the first time I visited it. Perhaps this is why: two people were behind the counter. Yet, when I carried my tree into the dining room, I discovered that it looked like it had not been cleaned for hours. I walked from table to table finding each one filthy with food remnants, drink lids, straw wrappers etc. Appalled by what I saw, I thought of taking my meal to my car and eating in the parking lot. I eventually found one single table that did not have food remnants on it. I did, however, suspect someone else had eaten at it without it being cleaned. So I ate at the table, but it was hard to enjoy the meal under those conditions. When I went to return my tray and throw away my trash, I saw that area was disgusting. I don’t know when it was last cleaned. I do not understand how the dining room was allowed to get to that point. As with other restaurants, I wonder if they let the dining room (which is in public view) be in that condition, what is the kitchen and other non-public areas like? The condition of the dining room was so offputting, I don’t intend to return there, or any Mezeh, any time soon. Maybe this was not how the dining room typically looks, but that’s how it appeared when I chose to eat there. And that is all I can go by. If I go there again, and that is a big if, I will look at the dining room condition before making a decision as to whether to purchase food there. Clearly, restaurant cleanliness was not a priority when I visited. Where was management? Only one star because I can in no way recommend a restaurant with dining room...
Read moreFor this to be my first time on 12/2/23 around 5:30pm patronizing this place will also be the last! Being tho I'm an pescatarian my sister wanted to introduce me to Mezeh. We went to the one on Midlothian as we came in the server was talking to her co worker and me & my sister had to wait until they were done with there conversation.1st RED FLAG! After staring at her for some time she finally came over and asked us could she help us! 2nd RED FLAG the sense of urgency as she took her time putting on her gloves on to serve us was unacceptable! As I said to my sister if this is the kind of service we're getting we will be better off going to Chipotle or Qdoba! As I started my choices the portions that were given are tablespoon PORTIONS!!!!!!! 3 RED FLAG! Being a pescatarian vegetable are your favorite but keep in mind if you NEVER been somewhere & it's your 1st time your very careful with your selection. I asked the server was that mixed vegetables and she stated yes, me being unsure of what kind of mixed veggies I asked was any meat mixed in it. She stated no meat is in it, As I said great I'll try those and as she placed it into my bowl and then says it's $1.50 extra I stated oh WOW for that tablespoon portion that's a total rip off to consumers!!!!!! ANYONE who patronize this place with the kind of service & portions given should really see that this company is literally a rip off & just taking money from you! Takers NEVER last! One minute there around and the next moment there gone! This company needs to do better because competition is always on the arise! I will be reaching out to the corporate corporate office in Fairfax VA. Monday morning!
I went to another Mezeh in Maryland And look at this bowl!!! I'm sure if you went to the one on Midlothian 👎🏾 you'll understand that it's only there location who's not giving you your money worth!!!!!

Read moreOur first time at Mezah on Midlothian was the most delightful lunch I could expect from the unknown place. Big big thanks for that to outstanding guys on the other side of the bar who went above and beyond to make sure I get the food that is safe and flavourful considering my dietary restrictions. I didn't get your names but you guys are the best! I have a rare alergy to garlic, so most places leave me with mediocre choices for food. But not here. The guys used their nutrition and allergens table to guide them and put together the most delicious bowl of salad and grain. I wish I could remember all the ingredients they used so I could ask for the same the next time! And sadly, I have no photos. Usually I take photos first, eat next. This time it looked and smelled so good that I had to try first. And once I tried, there was no stopping to worry about photos. :-) My husband had Mezah Classic bowl and he liked his as well. The size of each bowl was big enough to fill us for today's lunch and to have enough for another meal. Each bowl came with a half of delicious fresh pita bread. We bought a small box containing 2 kinds of baklava for our dessert. I wish we bought at least one box for each! It was very fresh and super tasty. One of the best baklavas I have ever tasted: sweet but not too sweet, buttery and crispy. Simply delightful. And last but not least I enjoyed the interior design of the place- beautiful tile on the wall and floors, and a very nice fence around the outdoor area (mimicing the ornaments of the floral tiles in the ironwork). I thought it was a very nice design work for the chain restaurant. And the final word: Mezah or Cava?...
