Hardee’s — Restaurant in Virginia

Horrible location. The night manager is a curmudgeon of a woman who needs to learn some customer service skills. And how to make food. And how to process transactions.

Oh, and some proper personal and food hygiene since I have video off her wiping her runny nose, multiple times, before touching the shared point of sale system that employees touch prior to handling customers food.

I ordered a sandwich. They made it wrong. They also forgot the ketchup packets i asked for. Lobby is closed so you have to go back to the drive through window. I Informed the cashier of the gaffe and he became visibly flustered and bolted off. A different worker came to ask me to move from the window while they remade my food and I asked them to please remember the ketchup this time.

They made the sandwich wrong again (it was not a complicated order) and gave me a pound of ketchup (I needed like 4 packets).

When I asked for a refund (which I had to request mutilple times because they tried blowing me off and ignoring me), the manager pretended to process one, then she refused to give me a receipt for it, resulting in me refusing to move from the drive through window till they gave me the receipt. The assistant manager finally came and processed it, and they for some reason gave me me a photocopy of the receipt (they tried telling me they couldn’t give me a copy).

They also called the cops on me for “trespassing”. I stated numerous times, “give my money back and I’ll be gone”. I finally got the refund and receipt, but also had law enforcement contact that was totally unnecessary.

So to summarize: a Hardee’s manager yelled at a customer whose order they repeatedly messed up, and when they got forced to produce proof of the refund, they instead called the police and stood there wiping her nose with her bare hand while I filmed it.

There was no need for any of it, and it was all escalated by the immature staff who fail to realize they work at a store, and what exactly what means for the patrons foolish enough to try...

SALTY AF! Been living on the range off and on for 27 years. Was excited to see the return of Hardee's. Regular Hot Ham & Cheese used to be my jam! So that's what I ordered. My 2 adult children ordered burgers, fries, chicken strips, etc. None of it was good at all... VERY salty, and artificial smoke flavoring was overdone. I'm sensitive to salt, but my kids are not and tend to add salt to everything. Even they thought everything was overly salty! Not to mention lukewarm and overpriced. Not at all like what I remembered! Decided to try again a year later because I had a craving for natural cut fries (like Wendy's used to have) and saw that Hardee's advertised them as such. Ordered them without salt in hopes of fresh cooked "naked" fries, and the kids ordered snacky type sides for themselves. I also got a chocolate shake to dunk my fries in. Again, everything but the shake was so salty! The fries had no visible salt, so I assume they were frozen and brined (salt water) before frying, and definitely not fresh. The shake wasn't anything special - very sweet, not much chocolate flavor, and kinda gritty... like McDonald's shakes! We've decided that unless we are awake and can be there before breakfast ends, we will not be eating Hardee's again. If you want a good shake or malt, go to DQ or drive to Duluth for Bridgeman's. If you want fresh, hand cut fries, go to Other Guys. Heck if I know where else you can get a hot ham and cheese sandwich, but Holiday has better ones...

This early and beautiful brisk morning I came through the drive thru and ordered a Biscuit and Gravy Combo meal with a side of hot fresh coffee. I’ve come through the drive thru from time to time and normally it is busy but that doesn’t keep this business from making food like the wind. The people on the other end are kind and polite and just want to get your order and get you out of the line and they did just that as I pulled through. After ordered my food and coffee they were sure to have my hot coffee ready for me at the window. The food here is not only good, it’s not too terribly expensive. I do wish they had a healthier alternative. This news resolution is hard enough with all the unhealthy options, and since they did away with salads at McDonald’s I’m stuck making meals at home….that’s besides the point. I received my coffee and breakfast quick and I was out. When I arrived home I opened up my styrofoam container and there was gravy everywhere. The lid for the gravy was not all the way on and it go everywhere. I was going to call about it but decided against it since I know accidents happen but it was still a good meal nonetheless.
