The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Virginia

Came here to get a small bite to eat while i waited for my eye appointment. As i was told they served sliders and sandwiches. Noticed a long line and gentleman guiding customers based on reservations and orders placed for the thanksgiving holiday. I let him know that i had no reservation but just wanted a sandwich or to even just look at their menu as i have NEVER been here before. I was met with a scoff and the sarcastic reply of “uh not on the day before thanksgiving?!” Leaving me with no clarification or education of what was served or offered for the day. I wasnt even invited in to see what was generally served. I was simply ushered to the back of the line despite the fact that i didnt even need a ham as i had already prepared for the holiday.

I found that this remark was upsetting, rude, and unnecessary especially since i have never been to this establishment before. All that was required was “sorry maam we are only fulfilling ham orders due to the holiday” and that would have been fine. This has left such an unflattering impression on me and the tone of the employees that operate this business. I would hope that all customers are met with compassion, education, and invitation when dining and that mark was already missed before i even...

Angela exceeds the top level of customer service at this location!!! She’s really sweet and inviting, and might I add, funny as hell. This was my first time making a lunch purchase. She walked me through the entire menu and was honest in her recommendations. She rang me up …. And might I add she made my sandwich too! SHE MADE THE HELL OUT OF MY SANDWHICH! I’m definitely coming back, but I’m coming back to store #2539!

As I was walking to find a seat, I saw these recipes. One is a mixed bean soup recipe that calls for a honey baked ham bone. I sat down. She came out in minutes with my sandwhich, and saw I had the recipe card… I inquired if the ham bone is a whole bone in ham or the actual ham bone. I expressed I’m going to make the soup tomorrow and if they have any ham bones. She wasn’t sure and said if they don’t she’ll prepare one for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE...

My uncle and I came here for lunch. The location is very clean inside and busier for lunch with people getting take out and eating in! The staff was very pleasant and they prepared our food quickly! I had the Cobb salad, my uncle had the Ham and Bean Soup. He had been here previously, and wanted to have it again since it was very hot on a cold day with lots of their famous ham. My salad was packed with flavor, I did not need the dressing! They had a mini-Freestyle coke machine that was filled with all the flavors available on the screen, and clean around the cup filling area. They had lots of other items for sale that we could take home including hams (of course) but also side dishes, desserts, rolls, and dressings. We had a really good experience at this small, but busy location, and we will definitely be back again...
