Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Visalia

I never leave reviews but I felt this needs to shared..

We have enjoyed going to Chipotle in the past. But this particular location has been going down hill since the last few years. It really started after the pandemic- the amount of portions of meat, beans or rice have been cut back almost in half- no joke! You pay extra for it. Each time we would return we would go- in hopes they would “redeem” themselves but yet again they failed. Plus, they raised their prices astronomically! But wait: there’re more.. the MOST infuriating thing is they absolutely REFUSED to serve me food whatsoever. I could not get food to eat! And no, it’s not because of that policy that says “no shirt, no shoes, no service.” It’s solely based upon the so-called “mask mandate” (which by the way, is NOT the law) please do your due diligence and look it up! They were blatantly rude and arrogant and could really care less about customer service. They did NOT SERVE!!! Shame on you- CHIPOTLE! I KNOW there are many who have encountered such things and haven’t spoken up. It told me EVERYTHING I needed to know when I was the only one ordering in person, especially in a busy hour. Went to chipotle for the second time ever. There was a decent line but the workers were trying their best to get everyone’s order fast. When it was my turn the employee looked annoyed, I asked for a chicken burrito. She then proceeds to ask me what kind of protein. I say chicken again and I asked for brown with white rice mixed. Everything was good until the other employee was grabbing sour cream I tried telling him I don’t want that but he did not hear until he looked up and he heard me the second time. He tells the co worker over to him “ why did you tell me sour cream “ she then TELLS me “ That’s what you said “ first of all why would I say something I don’t EVER eat. I don’t like sour cream and I never said those words. Then the person that was wrapping my burrito does not know how to wrap a burrito properly which is fine so I asked for a bowl, so when I asked for one the worker laughed and gave me attitude so I apologized cause I hate being that person especially when I worked in fast food BEFORE. I’m not the one to post negative comments but this is not the first time at this Chipotle in Visalia are out of the main food items many people like to order. I went to get food there for my daughters school fund raiser and I don’t know if this was a busy time Wednesday around 4:00 pm which is not even close to dinner time for us, but once again this place was out of food items. Last time they were out of steak and guacamole. This time they were out of all steak meat, guacamole, organic kids juice, and even forks! Really. So frustrating for me and there was a long line of customers behind me. This place needs to have a better manager that can keep track of inventory. The staff were nice and I could tell they didn’t like telling customers they were out of the main food items people order. Then they we’re giving tiny food portions!
