Service was great, ordered to go. They were friendly upon pick to too.
Heads up only one entrance and for the hour of us waiting outside in our suv, there were several men smoking. If you can’t be around smoke, it’s unavoidable. They were nice and polite, but it’s a bit difficult for anyone with a walker or wheelchair to manage the gate/door or anyone with asthma with the abundance of smoking.
Was hungry and going to eat there but ate in the parking lot in our suv instead. We were waiting on my daughter and had to go to Stater Bros after so needed to eat before. Food was ok, dinner portions were small and two slices of garlic bread that was heavy on oil/butter but not on taste. Pasta and sauce was hot but shrimp and chunks of mushrooms were lukewarm, as if added right before handing it off. I couldn’t tell which was off, the mushrooms or the shrimp, but I didn’t finish the mushrooms because they were huge chunks and not cooked. I wish i hadn’t ate the shrimp. A few hours later it hit me hard. It was so bad.
Several neighbors have ate there and when I mentioned what happened, they said oh no, no, no, you get pizza there. A few other choice items. But never ever shrimp. They were unanimous, never ever get shrimp or any other seafood there. They just said trust us. But pizza, the pizza is good and safe they said. And they all love Uncle Tony. But added again, don’t ever get shrimp or any other seafood there. Well no worries cause I learned the very hard way, several hours of regret having ever tried...
Read moreOverall the food is good, BUT the portions are SMALL and prices are HIGH, too high for what you get. My family of 4 with one small appetizer, 4 average cost on the menu dinners, plus tax and tip came to $175. That's why you can't eat out very often. A $25 plate of spaghetti is just too dang much. It is very rare to see my kids clean their plates with nothing to take home. Well that's what you should expect here - no left overs - because the portions are TOO SMALL. What's with that? I ordered a side of meatballs and I'm definitely not a fan of them taste and texture wise - they reminded me of frozen Trader Joe's meatballs. The breaded eggplant parmigiana wasn't too bad, just not enough of it. My wife's thinks her clam linguini was primarily canned clams with a few actual clams in their shell on top, so expect average food here. Then on top of all that, during payment the in-your-face automatic tip calculation (a real turn-off for me) which defaults to a 20% tip, with %18 being the lowest tip showing on the card reader machine! Out of control there. Unfortunately very doubtful we'll be going back. We're going to keep looking for a replacement restaurant to our beloved Marco Italian Restaurant which...
Read moreThis was my 2nd time in 2 days, we stopped to pick up sandwiches for lunch with friends and got 3 meatball and 1 sausage sandwich, the best any of us had ever had! By far. The meat is flavorful and perfectly cooked the sauce was super fresh out of the garden taste. Truly best sandwich I've had in years. We returned the next night for dinner, we we're late getting out it was after 9pm and empty but the owner and other staff were still closing and welcomed us in as long as we agreed to sit at the bar. I had thier Italian wedding soup and he had pasta fazoli?? Pasta olive oil garlic spinach with a meatball and sausage added on. OMG the best food can be recognized immediately. Super fresh quality ingredients yet surprisingly affordable. 2 entrees, 4 drinks, extra meat, tab was less than $75 so we left fat tip for incredible hospitality after service had ended and outstanding meal. Small, cost environment with outside searing as well that feels like the owners back porch, they are just that friendly. Best meal of 2018 for sure actually I want to go again before we leave for the seafood offerings. Full bar, excellent wine and local craft ale and distillery...
