My expectations were higher than the product received. I ordered the Hercules which costs almost $10 just for the sandwich, by the time you add fries and a drink I was at $15. I understand inflation, but I could break down the cost of a pita bread (1 slice), lettuce (by the way the lettuce is not good - it wilted and made the sandwich soggy), tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. There was more lettuce, tomato, and sauce than meat. I get using high quality ingredients is key, but a little more meat would be appreciated for the cost of the sandwich. Any gyro that I have had at other places; the gyro was piled high with meat and had tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce) and also the meat is sliced off the rotisserie spicket. I do appreciate that the meat was fresh and not frozen. They have the rotisserie spicket, but they do not shave it directly into the pita, they cut off chunks and place the meat in a container next to the grill and then reheated on the grill which dries out the meat. Someone else posted comparing the fries to Burger Kind (I agree). They staff was friendly and the atmosphere was...
Read moreLove this place. Everyone is very friendly and the food is delicious. Tables and floors are always clean. You can tell when you walk in and the smell hits you your in for a treat. Went there for our anniversary treat and weren't disappointed. The owner often walks around checking on his guests. Super nice guy. Learned a bit about the history of the place on the last visit. From time to time get into a conversation with one of the other guests there talking about the food. More than a few are like us, people concerned about their health. They have wonderful vegetarian options, but for people who want meat, the chicken and even the lamb is wonderfully lean. All of it vegetarian or not, was wonderful flavors. The owner tells me that everything is made right there in the shop except the baklava (we get it once in a blue moon) which is made using their own recipes. It's very much a family affair where he and his children work. And it shows. As someone who has owned their own business, we ALWAYS support local, family-owned businesses...

My girlfriend and I stopped by on Saturday the 14th for lunch to go. As to be expected from Charlie's, it was busy during lunch time and we waited about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. All things considered though, 15 minutes was much faster than we both expected for how busy it was.
We ordered a Spicy T Wrap, Charlie's Special for the day, and Tzatziki with Pita along with an order of fries on the side. Absolutely everything was delicious. I personally had the spicy T wrap which is my usual pickup from Charlie's. It's always the right mixture of spicy, hearty, and delicious every time. The portions are great, the value is perfect, and you finish the meal feeling fulfilled and satisfied.
For the wrap I paid $10.49 and for Charlie's Special, $11.99. Those along are plenty but adding in the fries for $3.99 makes the meal. I cannot recommend this spot enough, they do food right here!
