Made a mobile order with specific order specifications. Clearly saw it on the screen before it was submitted. None of the changes came through. I went back when I found out about one item. After being arrogant and arguing with me, they replaced the item. I went back out to the car and my wife’s order was wrong also. I reluctantly went back in, and this time they brought the manager out and he said that it came through that way and they aren’t going to replace it. It looks like his employee’s attitudes are a reflection of his own. If the cost of customer service doesn’t put the store at a loss, it’s really just about some self righteous, arrogant display of them vs the customers, and unfortunately they know that even this one star review isn’t going to create a significant impact on their business as people are going to keep going to the brand name McDonald’s regardless, but hey, now the world knows about their behavior. Let me put this in perspective for you if I hadn’t. My wife and I went on a little date. We were already having a bad past two weeks. We decided, let’s go get some fast food and then go for a drive. We used the mobile app. We took time selecting the custom options in the mobile app. We paid for the addons in the mobile app. We get to the store, and it’s the order with none of the customizations. Believe it or not, things like ketchup, mustard and onions makes a dramatic impact on whether or not someone wants to eat a sandwich. It came with those items. I went in and asked them to remake the order. I told them what happened. They were stuck on it not being their fault. Who in the world cares whose fault it is? It’s a sandwich. I go back outside and have to tell my wife that they’re not going to remake the order. Remind you, we already had a bad two weeks and this was an escape. It doesn’t cost the company very much to remake sandwiches. Making people happy is much better, but they did lose a customer if the management...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru at 11:00 and ordered two kids meals and a chicken nugget meal for myself. At the speaker, I told them what kind of sauces that I would like with my chicken nuggets. The gentleman at the window to pay was very polite. I pulled forward to get my food and there was an older woman at the window. She gave me my drinks in my food without speaking to me at all, which is understandable at times I don't read too much into that. However, after getting my food and checking my bags for my sauces they were not there. So I waited for a moment and signaled to get her attention through the window and asked her for my sauces. She closed the window, looked around for a brief moment before asking me if my sauces were in my bag. I told her no they were not, I checked which is why I was asking for looked around for a brief moment before asking me if my sauces were in my bag. I told her no they were not, I checked before asking for more. She was not very polite. She closed the window back, and then returned with one of the sauces I asked for. She asked me what other sauce it was that I asked for and I told her. She closed the window again and went and got the second sauce. When she handed it to me I told her politely "thank you so much, have a good day!" To which she said nothing and just closed the window yet again. I'm not exactly sure why someone would be so frustrated and rude to a customer who was politely asking for something that they ordered with their meal... I keep in mind that people are all going through their own issues in life and that it may be displaced frustration... But when you work in customer service, you have to treat people kindly... She was extremely rude and made me feel like I was doing something wrong for asking for something I paid for. I've been a regular at this place since living here, but not anymore. Probably a good thing anyway, I'm sick of giving my money to a company like...
Read moreThis is going to sound bizarre but the following account is true.
Last night at approximately 9:30 my son and I pull into McDonalds and ordered two plain cheeseburgers, a spicy chicken sandwich and a chocolate milkshake (drive through)
About two minutes after we pulled away we realized we didn’t get a chicken sandwich but instead we got two plain cheeseburgers and one set of just buns with sauce on it. One of those was wrapped in the chicken sandwich wrapper. So we headed on back and all seemed to be fine and that I would get my sandwich. This angry lady asks for our bag and upon her discovery she sees the chicken sandwich wrapper which has no contents inside and blows the case wide open. She refuses to give me my chicken sandwich because I couldn’t prove that I never had it. I did produce the burger without a paddy but because I did not stop my son from eating his plain cheeseburgers in the dark of the night and bring back everything I was now guilty of lying and she refused to give me my sandwich. I worked the drive through at a restaurant back in the day and I get it. Sometimes people lie. This was just crazy. She was nasty to me. This sandwich is like $3. It was annoying enough coming back but to be refused was idiotic.
I told her she was taking such a risk by refusing me the meal that I paid for all for like three dollars and that I would call the corporate number. She ended up giving me my sandwich, but she just made a massive scene and I was actually telling the truth for the record. I did file a complaint and I’m considering working with a sketch artist to help McDonalds catch this employee and tell her to just give people their food.
Check the footage from the drive through from 9:50-10:00. Somewhere in there....
