Another terrible to‐go experience at the Walker, Michigan location. This is the 3rd one in 12 months at this location. I placed a to go order for a set time online then realized I didn't add the reward coupon so went back and added that and the app defaulted the order time to asap. I clicked submit and instantly realized the time defaulted. I instantly called the walker location and talked to Christina and she said she will let the cooks know I actually needed it for 215pm. I get there at 214pm and I parked in a to go spot and a server opens the side door and spits chew or some brown substance out her her mouth, looks at me then closes door? I wait 5mins for someone to acknowledge me. I Start to call the restaurant and then the manager comes out (I know it's the manager bc she was the one to come out and apologize the last time I was there when my order was messed up.) She asks for my name then says it's gonna be a few more mins. 12 mins later my food comes out. I said to the manager "I take it Christine didn't let the cooks know to change the time"? She simply says no she didn't. I expressed my frustration in a calm way and all she said was sorry. I said this is the 3rd time I've had an issue here. She simply says sorry again. I don't want something for free just these issues to be resolved and not have the same things happen over and over. Saying sorry means nothing when the results never change. I've been in customer service for 20 years This is clearly a poorly managed location. The original proprietor Jim Dunluvey would have been disgusted. They were very slow on Saturday, June 30 about 3 PM, so there's no excuses there. Let's start with the steak. I ordered a 12 oz. Ribeye, medium. It looked to be closer to 10 oz., the steak was cooked throughout with no pink, and it was extremely thin, about 1/2" to 5/8" thick. About 40% of it was solid gristle and fat, completely inedible. I'm not sure who thought this belonged on a plate as a $23 steak, but they are in the wrong business. This was the worst steak I ever bought. My side order did not come out with the meal, it was apparently forgotten twice. I asked the young man who brought out the food if it was coming out soon, and he said yes. The waitress came by within 5 minutes and asked if everything was good, again I asked about my side dish. She promptly went and got it for me, but it was not worth the wait. My wife ordered a peachy flavored drink, which she said was very good. I had water, which had very little ice in it, and none after 15 minutes. My glass also sat empty for about 10-15 minutes, which as slow as they were was totally negligent. My wife had a combination of a steak with some shrimp and shrimp sauce over it, "new" according to the menu. Again, she was very pleased, said the steak was very tender and delicious. So there you have it, $70 later and I had the most disappointing meal I have had out in decades, where for probably $20 less I could have went into Logan's, one mile south of there, and had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and no regrets. The service provided was severely lacking, resulting in an unpleasant and embarrassing situation. The server demonstrated a significant delay in taking our order and delivering our food. Upon receiving the bread, it was not accompanied by butter, and a further 15 minutes elapsed before it was provided. Additionally, our toddler's meal was not brought out simultaneously with the rest of the food, necessitating an additional 10-minute wait. When it finally arrived, a portion of the order was missing, leading to another delay. Furthermore, a drink ordered by my friend was never delivered until we brought it to the attention of another server. By that time, all other meals had been completed. Regrettably, no apology was offered, and the drink was merely placed in a to-go container. The full rack of baby ribs was excessively salty, diminishing the overall enjoyment of the meal. Despite the subpar service, a gratuity was left due to the presence of guests. It is with utmost disappointment that I must convey that this was the poorest service I have ever encountered. The high cost of the ribs compounded the dissatisfaction. Moreover, the hostess displayed a complete lack of interpersonal skills, failing to acknowledge our toddler's friendly gestures and toy. This incident underscores the pervasive nature of poor customer service throughout our experience.
