I go to this Starbucks because it is the closest one to me with a drive through. Let me start off by saying, the staff working the drive through always have the most upbeat and positive attitude. Alway smiling and they always ask how my day is going. They are just a breathe of fresh air. A couple months ago, I went through the drive through to order the drink I normally order...an iced hazelnut latte with soy milk. I am vegan, so I don't consume any animal products. When I got my latte, I drove off without tasting it first because I had to be at a meeting. When I eventually ended up taking a sip, something tasted off, but I figured the milk to coffee ratio was a bit off. When I looked at the receipt though, I noticed that they had used normal milk instead of soy milk. I was upset rightfully so. After my meeting (a couple hours later), I returned to Starbucks upset and explained my situation and how upset I was (thankfully I'm not allergic to dairy). They were very apologetic and empathetic and made me a new iced latte free of charge. I was then approached unexpectedly by a manager. I want to say his name was Zach. He asked me to wait there in the store for a moment. When he returned, he handed me a gift card and apologized again for the inconvenience and for what I had to go through. I'm in the hospitality industry so I understand the importance of good customer service, and this Starbucks goes above and beyond traditionally good customer service. Not only did they correct their mistake, but they also went above and beyond to make sure that I, the customer, left happy. I left very happy and glad that a negative experience was turned around. Read moreToday was the worst service I have ever gotten here at this location on Alpine. Our drinks werent made to order, so we asked to have them remade to order. One of the sandwiches was soggy and all contents slide down to one side because they put it in the bag standing up. Manager blamed us for the food because it sat while they remade our drinks to order after they told us to pull ahead to a parking spot and wait, but I didnt wait I went inside because I wanted to make sure the drinks were made to order. I saw our food sitting by the drive thru associate. Who knows how long it would have sat if I hadnt gone inside. Employees are on edge slamming things around and its apparent why, the manager had a negative attitude too. I wouldnt suggest ever going to this location unless the manager gets help with positive management. We frequent starbucks, so we know how the drinks are supposed to look had they been made to order. If you dont like your job then look for something different. I even apologized for ruining their day and all I got was negativity in return. I spent over $60 was I wrong for wanting our order made to order? 3 drinks, 2 sandwiches, 2 egg bites and 4 pastries. Seems like a lot of money to not have it made to how you ordered it. Read moreFRIENDLY CAUTION TO OTHERS...The Starbucks location on Walker Ave NW is currently using subpar defective lids on ALL their hot beverages! My husband went thru the drive thru at this location over the weekend. He was handed his black coffee and less than a block down the road the lid popped off and 160+ degree coffee PAINFULLY poured down his hand and leg. Thankfully he was able to safely pull over to the side of the road. I hate to even think if he had been driving on the highway when this happened! He immediately called this store and explained what happened. The employee said " Oh yeah, we got a batch of bad lids, sorry if you want to come back we can make you a new coffee" My husband said "Uh, so you are KNOWLY using defective lids!" She responded "yeah but we are trying to remember to tell customers that they don't fit well". My husband was mindblown and so am I that a company and management would knowingly use defective supplies!!! I am disgusted, angry and felt the need to share this painful scary experience.
