Painting with a Twist — Attraction in Walker

Thank you, Stephanie, for hosting such a great night for my husband and I. We really enjoyed picking out all the smell goods for our linen spray & candles. We both enjoyed making our own with all the variety of scents available and each with a sample to try. And for the main plater, Stephanie included vibrant, black light paints AND a wide selection of glitters, gems, and even crushed glass. This place had two huge TVs to show the instructor's live example. She was so happy to help everyone with special techniques and styles. She was very professional and kind with how she gave instructions and advice. Let me just add with the visual to easily follow along to, they also have a microphone so you can hear the instructor and enjoy some good jams. I LOVED the dark light to the Blacklight paintings. The studio was nice, beautiful paintings and a nice set up. I loved my painting. The two stars is for the instructor Kaitlyn. She was not the friendliest person. I like the experience of painting its relaxing but if the instructors attitude is poor then the experience is not great. People needed help and she wouldn't help them. She just went on to the next steps when people were asking questions she didn't answer them. She was very cold and rushed everyone out. My friend obviously needed help and I tried as best as I could to help him but she just wouldn't. She really should not be an instructor. I thought maybe she had a bad day but other people that I know went and had her as an instructor and said the same thing. At Brush Studios I had a much better experience. The instructor was excellent and soooooo nice and helpful. She made sure everyone was ok before she moved on. I would not recommend this studio as long as she is an instructor at all. Go to...

I have always said I don't have an ounce of creativity or talent in my body! Imagine my surprise when I painted a very detailed elephant! I whined though most of my first experience but merely because mine didn't look as good as the teacher's. Once I got it home, I realized it doesn't have to! It's awesome & I'm really proud of it! We drank wine, painted & had a fun time. Now I want to do it again but I need a different seat. The stools they supply are comfortable for most people but I have degenerative joint disease & need a stool with a back. As I was leaving the gentleman who works there commented that he has a couple of backs that he's going to put on a couple of stools, so when I come back, I will be more comfortable. I showed my painting to my 2 year old granddaughter & she loved it so much, that she kissed the elephant! I guess it's going in her bedroom! I need to book my next visit. I have 5 more...
