okay. for starters i've been coming here for a good amount of time... with friends and family, etc. food always tastes good, but once you get food poising it isn't so appetizing. i spent my weekend missing a once in a life time event throwing up for hours and feeling miserable. my two other friends that were with me had to deal with the same, and no one else got it so that means it was the one common meal that we shared. today my family forces me to return here after my unfortunate experience in past so i try to stay open minded and be forgiving. i order an egg white omelet with peppers and mixed cheese. simple... but i guess not. my omlet was good. for the first few bites at least. i keep eating to satisfy my hunger but was surprised to find under cooked peppers and a STRAWBERRY. i cut it off and tried to continue but then felt an unexpected crunch. i assume from an eggshell and as i moved onto my potatos i look to find yet another unacceptable surprise. it was a HAIR. that is absolutely unacceptable. my bad impression on the turning point remains, but that's not all. i have a friend who works as a bust boy at a local eatery who has a coworker who used to work at the turning point. this coworker said that she left the former job because they don't properly clean dishes. they stack them and they sit in dirty water not really cleaning them so just picturing all of the other people that could've been using the same dishes as myself that are uncleaned is a definite turn off. if i could give less than one...
Read moreToday I ate at Turning Point in Seagirt. It's one of my favorites and I love the food. But today, I waited over 50 minutes for my food (we timed it). My friend and I did not mention anything til around 40 minutes when we had to ask for refills on our iced coffees. Then our waitress proceeded to tell us that our food would be out soon. This was just as 3 other tables who were seated WAY after us had received their food. She apologized and offered us chips and salsa and we said okay but all we really wanted was our food. When we called over another waiter (we felt bad talking to our waitress because we did not want it to make seem like it was her fault), he said he would check it out. Then he came back and told us the computer said the order was only in for 20 minutes (basically telling me I was lying)...but my friend and I just sat there and said we'll take the check. When the check came, we were charged for our refills of iced coffee. (I'm an avid TP customer so I know that the menu says "Fresh brewed iced coffee unlimited free refills") and I have never been charged for a refill. After that, the waiter said he would take it off because of our long wait...but in reality, we should not have even been charged for the refills in the first place. We were extremely polite when dealing with this situation and I just want you guys to know that if you were dealing with any other customers they would've been extremely angry and would have caused a scene. I am extremely upset with my experience and...
Read moreThe best part of my girlfriend living in Sea Girt is that she is right around the corner from Turning Point. This is our favorite place to grab a bite.
We mainly come here for breakfast. We usually get the Big Wilbur Skillet and the Big Easy Benny. Both are delicious.
We recently came for a late lunch where I tried their Pavo Cubano and thought it was excellent.
The food is not expensive -- and that's saying a lot in times of pandemic where restaurants are raising their costs substantially. You can get a really good meal here for under $15 a person.
Service here is always outstanding. They have a young crew of waiters and waitresses, all who are exceedingly friendly and always smiling. You walk in they say hello and as you walk out, they don't forget to wish you well. I have never sat down here without being attended to by a really friendly waitress with a huge smile and a desire to make us feel welcomed.
This place is a real shining star in a sea of restaurants you could go eat in the area. I would highly recommend you try Turning Point before anywhere else. I think it will become your favorite as it has become mine.
Kudos to everyone who works there. You are all a...
