I have not lived in Walla Walla for over 7 years, back to visit so I thought big house again. It has the typical brew pub feel with a great outdoor space when the weather is good. They have a restaurant seating part that is great for a business meeting or family dinner as well as a bar area that gets hopping later at night (if it's still the same)

The food menu is on the smaller side but that is better for a place like this. Do less really well instead of a bunch of stuff that is not good. They knocked it out of the park with the Hangover burger! When it came out I thought the presentation was a little lacking but the flavor was amazing! If the rest of the food is this good then I would highly recommend it!

They make their own beer and it is what I remember from this place years ago. Good solid beer but nothing special, good for the masses, which is probably they clientele. If you are a craft beer head looking for the next unique experience this is not it. If you want the brew pub experience with solid beer experience this is the place.

I think a 4 star is the perfect rating for this place. Average beer good food and service.

Walla Walla does not have much great food, so if you are a foodie...

Friendly service, good food and a nice selection of brews, cocktails and other libations. We visited on a very hot weekend and sat inside to keep cool. We had some beverages and a ceaser salad before returning to the softball tournament we were attending. Our server was friendly and efficient and when we became crunched for time, she rushed us a couple more beers. We returned later that evening for dinner. We got a table on the patio, which was nice for a short time. Around sunset, the flies became very bad....between the hot air and the AC being blown out through the roll up doors.... we were smack dab in the middle of a messy fly trap. They were so bad, we hurried our dinner just to get out of the fly NADO! The service was great, our food was good, but the flies, were HORRIBLE. Just request a table away from the opening to the restaurant, that may help. The tater tots were nice and crisp, the steak bite appetizer was loved by the little one at our table and our salads were tasty. The place was hopping with business....alot of activity and tourists in town this particular weekend, and the establishment appeared to be "staffed" up. Thank you for an...

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars it would be more accurate. After having had a terrible experience here several years ago, my husband and I as well as several family members decided to give it another chance. We were in town for the car show and understood it would be very busy but happy to just hang out, have a few drinks and wait patiently for our food. However, after waiting for almost 2 hours for a salad and a simple quesadilla, we gave up. No attempts made to rectify the situation by management. The little bit of food some of our family did receive was a weak attempt at bar food. Not high quality in the least. We broke up as a group and some went across the street to Wingman and was served immediately. As well as Walla Walla Bread Co. walked right in, seated and had our food within 10 mins. Please DO NOT waste your time with this place. Not worth it in the least. If your feeling more adventurous, go to Brassier Four! The French menu is divine! Classy, great atmosphere and priced well. Seriously. Walla Walla is such a great place to visit and there are SO many other places that beat this place by...

Tucked just off the brick-and-vine charm of downtown Walla Walla, Big House Brewery feels like the kind of joint where you could either plan a revolution… or just drink really damn good beer and forget the world’s on fire. The standout? The Hoppy Lager. A perfect contradiction in a pint—clean, crisp, refreshing as a spring creek, then BAM—just enough bitterness to remind you you’re alive and still got opinions. Not too aggressive, not too timid. Just right. Like the Goldilocks of beer if she grew up listening to Queens of the Stone Age. The staff? Friendly, fast, and on it without hovering. The vibe? Old brick, good tunes, patio breeze—ideal for everything from post-wine-tasting detox to a laid-back solo writing session. The food? Solid, crave-worthy, no-frills tavern fare to back up the brews. Big House doesn’t scream for your attention—it earns it. If you’re rolling through Walla Walla, don’t sleep on this place. Especially that hoppy lager. It’s the kind of beer that makes you consider canceling your next plan just to sit and have another. Cheers to Big House. You nailed it. 🍻

This was always a 3-4/5 option for my family. They have a decidedly anti-mask sign on the front door, so I'll eat at the much better restaurant across the street. (Edit: It seems the owner is probably not the person who wrote the sign... I suggest a rewrite: "We are enforcing the mask mandate" (you don't even need to say happily). Writing that you are only doing it to stay open is enough to drive my business away; it makes me think you are anti-mask and therefore dangerous. A good response would be, "oh golly, I didn't realize it read that way. We'll look into the wording." You seem like good people, and I don't want to argue.

I'm not going to lie, This place was VERY underwhelming. Went to eat with the family and had to ask a few times for the essentials like napkins, refills, etc. Not only that, but they messed up the order (made it right in the end). Mind you, this wasn't at a busy time. It's an absolute shame that it cost an absolute fortune to eat there. I'm not a fan of paying nearly $100+ on a meal, and then the service is slow and halfway. It's the combination of overpriced food, poor quality service, and mediocre tasting food that sets a bad taste in my mouth.
